Right back, Martin Lorentzon, dubbed the 'Swedish Zanetti', is on trial. Played yesterday in the U21's and Mowbray is interested in signing him.

Broke the record of most miles covered in a Swedish league game n 2011.

Sounds promising. I have no issue with Swedish right-backs, solid as rocks, but none compare to the legend that is Roland Nilsson.

Well SP had a lot of players on trial too, but most of them were duds.

Looks decent, can't go far wrong with Scandinavian players. All pretty solid and are always suited to the English leagues. Having Phillips at right back scares me at times!!! Not the most consistent of players.

Well looking at the stats asj has put up he seems to have played a decent amount of games in the past 4/5 years. (That's if I'm understanding Swedish right!!) Obviously for TM to have kept him here for longer he has seen something in him.

I've got no issue with lower league players. Was Vardy picked up as a free agent?

Also, this lad is 31...he's experienced...so again, if he's that good, why's he a free agent?

I'll be trusting in Mowbray rather than questioning things based on Wikipedia. I'm sure all the relevant questions are being asked and if he's good enough we'll sign him. If he isn't we won't.

Knows the kind of ball strikers love, but what's he like at defending and he could do with being about 4inches taller.

As Mowbray has previously said, it costs the club money to bring somebody in on trial, so we have obviously done some "scouting" on him before taking the plunge to bring him over. He has obviously impressed as we are keeping him over for another week to have discussions. The you tube vid does look decent so hopefully Mowbray has found us a decent player.
