Our record isn’t great at Swansea where we have never won at the Liberty stadium and our last away win at Swansea was on the 21st January 1950 in a City 2-1 win at the old Vetchfield ground.
Can this be the season under FL that we finally break the Liberty Stadium jinx ?

We need to play like we did in the first half. High line and keep them under pressure. We won’t see loads of the ball but want to make sure they can’t escape out of their half.

Take a draw!

Actually that's usually the case for me but considering Leeds is next game a win here would really take the pressure of that game and not to mention the confidence I would give us.

Forget win in Swansea - I don’t remember us beating them in Coventry either

They've just come off a proper hammering at Norwich. Get the first goal and the crowd could get on their backs.
Keep the run going . 2-1 City

We did beat them at Highfield Rd in the 1980s I think.

I don't think away points in the Championship are to be sniffed at at all, especially a bogey team away point, so I'd be fairly happy. 3 points would be great though to take the pressure off the Leeds game a bit.

They're in poor form but it'll be really difficult to get a win, they'll want to stop the rot at least

I will never think of Swansea as a traditional top flight club. I think in the end they're just regressing to their mean.

They've spent 9 years in the top flight in their history but in fairness if you're in your 30s and support them half of the last 15 years have been in the top flight , so might feel like you belong there

Would take a point. Their home form isn’t anywhere near as bad as recent away form.

Surprised they haven't wielded the axe on their manager (they still might yet) - Was openly touting himself for the WBA just after Xmas, it never materialised and he kind of had to go back with his tail between his legs and form has fell of a cliff since

Watched their game against Cardiff in the pub before our game the other week and they were dire, on the back of that and a drubbing away to Norwich if we can get under their skin their crowd may turn quite quickly

That being said we historically struggle against these so a point wouldn't be end of the world

Looking forward to an away day on the train PUSB

If we can beat Blackburn who are a lot higher in the table then we must think we have a good chance of a win. Surely. A draw is the minimum requirement. I don't do all that bogey team tosh, even for Preston away let alone Swansea.

I would be tempted to go one up front and bring back Tats

They have injury problems and playing players out of position. Only got 1 point since the end of last year. Letting goals in for fun. We're on a roll. Logically should be an away win but that's not the way football goes.

It's the kind of game we need to win to keep on climbing the table. Watford v Norwich means we will go up at least a place with a win. Middlesbrough v Sunderland is an interesting one also. We could go just 3 points out of the top 6 and they don't play until Monday.

23rd vs 4th on the form table based on the last 5 games. Only one winner here...

You’ll never get me believing we’ll beat Swansea away. We could be five time Champions League winners and Swansea on a run of relegations that’s left them playing Bedworth United and they’d still win.

Take a draw.

Thats depressing reading but if we are serious about top six and making up the gap we should be looking to win against teams like Swansea on their current form.
Draw is a nothing result when we need the three points especially with Leeds being the next game

It's an era thing I guess

I have never seen us in the top flight but Swansea were in it for 7 years straight throughout my teen years

I fancy a win against Swansea then a good game against Leeds. We're not the same side that got outplayed by them earlier in the season. We even now have a GK that does what a GK should do. They don't have the bonus of Wilson being in goal for us this time. I'm counting it as a free hit with a chance of getting a result.
