I quite like the idea of 5 at the back for this one

Rushworth
Lati Woolfenden Kitching
MVE Onyeka Torp Grimes Dasilva
BTA Simms

only problem is you’re leaving out 2 of our most dangerous and inform attackers in Sakamoto and EMC.

Just don't buy into this sort of stuff any more to be honest.

So many times I've heard in recent years a team is on the beach/depleted with injuries/had less recovery time etc and they've turned us over.

It will be tough regardless, though I'm confident we'll win

Yep, look at Wolves. They’ve only started playing well and getting unlikely points since their season was effectively over.

Look at how Preston played last week. That was the textbook definition of ‘on the beach’.

Wolves has started picking up points as Edwards has finally got them playing as he wants, signing Armstrong is a big reason for that.

They were still in with a chance of the play offs, they were just poor.

Disagree, they weren’t up for it at all. In these final run ins some teams fall off big time, others get a second wind.

We put in 2 or 3 halves of football earlier in the year which were equally as bad as Preston last week, I doubt its because we were on the beach.

Watched a bit of that game last night, if they are the worst team in the league we are in for a shock next season (if we go up). The step up is massive.

They were horrendous first half of the year and clearly lacking confidence.

Edwards has got them working a lot lot more in games and stripped back some of the flair the previous manager tried to get them to play with.

The games against Southampton and Ipswich this year show that too. The easy games next year will be tougher than (or at least as tough as) our most difficult games this year. Signings will be critical. 4th from bottom will be a massive success.

Which is why most promoted teams spend £100 million + on players. Also, Wolves are in good form right now.

Don't think it's a shock mate. Think most of us have seen the quality that even the relegation threatened teams possess.
It's going to be a slog alright.

A win would obviously be massive for us but I think a hard fought draw. Which would pretty much render the remaining away games as free hits for us as long as we maintain home form.

On your points breakdown how many did you have left for us to pick up away?

12 points, I have us down as needing to be perfect at home, only sticky fixture is Wrexham. The hard work has already been done, just need to cruise home and enjoy it now.

The Middlesbrough, Millwall, Ipswich love triangle of fixtures is a massive trump card in our deck.

The only thing that will stop us now is a stray cruise missile hitting the team bus.

This is why I find talk of “one or two signings and keep the team together” absolute madness. No slight on our current players but we’ll need upgrades across the board.

Not a must win. If Wright, Rudoni and Thomas all out wouldn't mind us going pretty compact and direct and see what happens. Next 5 fixtures after this are where we need to attack and go and win promotion imo
Yes, this game isn't a must win, although anything would be good, there are more than enough
points from the next 5 to get it wrapped up

Well if we can’t get 12 points from 8 games we don’t deserve to be top 2

Will we finally see the brown 4th kit this weekend? It must be on the cards soon. They wouldn't have released shorts, socks, and warm up t-shirts etc for a kit that wasn't going to be worn surely...

I only spent £75 on it because I collect match shirts, I'll be fuming if it turns out to just be a gimmick.

I genuinely think 85 will do it. That means two of the following need to happen:

Ipswich18 from 9
Middlesbrough 16 from 8
Millwall 18 from 8

If you think we need 12 then the two of the following following needs to happen:

Ipswich 22 from 9 (7 wins and a draw)
Middlesbrough 20 from 8 (6 wins and 2 draws)
Millwall 22 from 8 (7 wins and 1 draw)

None are in exceptional from, all have to play each other, Middlesbrough have just failed to beat Charlton, Oxford, Leicester and Bristol C in consecutive home games, Ipswich's April looks hideous.

I could see one going on a run and taking the title off us if we fuck about but I simply don't see a world where we don't finish top 2.

Swansea are dangerous and always provide a stern test for us, but also beatable

As people have mentioned, their result last week combined with wins for Wrexham and Saints this week probs kills their season, which can only benefit us - Did not really want to be going there with their tails well and truly up breathing down the neck of the Top 6

Looking forward to the trip, there is a great strip of bars on Wind Street, hopefully the decent weather holds out

How many have Ipswich got on their last run?

You do know to finish 3rd two teams have to finish above you.

Which out of Boro or Millwall is getting 89 points?
