It can be a factor. Put it this way, if a win for Swansea against us could have them in 6th place, rather than just remaining adrift and in mid-table mediocrity, do you think they would be more or less motivated?
Not a must win, but really think we need a point, just because we don't want to go into the international break on the back of two defeats.
Surely picking & choosing where we collect the points is unlikely. This team, this season is aiming to win every match.I've gone from 'anything from this game is a bonus' to 'really need a result' as the Derby game could be a really tough one. The 3 consecutive games after Hull, of Sheff Wed, Blackburn and Pompey are the games that I'm relying on to get the points that see us over the line. We just need a couple of performances/results from the other games to ease any pressure.
Just don't buy into this sort of stuff any more to be honest.
So many times I've heard in recent years a team is on the beach/depleted with injuries/had less recovery time etc and they've turned us over.

And if anything, playing without any pressure means some individuals can express themselves more.

Their last six home form is second only to Norwich and above ours. The idea that just cos they’re midtable they’ll be an easy win is for the birds.
