I’ve been to Swansea twice and both games were 0.0 so hoping for some goals this time. They were the better team at the CBS earlier in the season and they played well against WBA the other night. Tough game but going for a 1 nil win with Vik to score.

Moore
Hyam Rose JCS
Kane Sheaf Hamer Bidwell
O'Hare Maatsen
Gyok

Wilson, Fadz, Allen, Shipley, Waghorn, Tavares +1 (Jones if fit)

Looking a bit threadbare on the bench.

Swansea have been up and down of late, so wasn't sure whether to have Allen at ACM and Maatsen as an option to replace him or Bidwell later on.

Also considered putting Fadz back in.

Not happy at Gyok once again having to do a lot of work by himself but at least he's had a week between games. You can't justify Waghorn starting and I'd prefer Tavares being blooded bit by bit and having his pace to get at them later on.

Would take a draw but we could sneak a win.

I reckon Godden may be on the bench

A win would make things very interesting with the four teams above us playing each other

This would be my 11, hopefully Bidwell and Gyokeres are up for it against their former club. Godden back on the bench would be a massive boost

Wasnt he ruled out for another 5 weeks and on top of this would need to get back to match fitness.
Cant see him being back until April at the earliest

Nope sounds like Godden basically went against the specialist.

Coventry City striker Matty Godden close to injury return

The Sky Blues striker has missed the last ten games but is on course to return to action two weeks ahead of schedule

Swansea available at 8/5. with us as favourites. Their home form has been solid (4 on the bounce at home?) and just beat WBA away. Love us to win/draw, but think they have this wrong.

It was similar odds v Bristol City. My eyes lit up and backed them, and on the balance of play we probably should have lost. Obviously delighted to lose my stake though.

Last time we were allowed fans at the liberty stadium it was our first team playing their U23s.

We’re now above them in the league.

They have won their last two at home, prior to that they lost to Luton. Their current form is win one then lose one at the moment.

Fair play, I think we can incorporate the old initialism in too, whilst it both SHFWR it also shows how far we fell, so, it's SHFWF for life.

Our record against them is terrible isn't it? Albeit from relatively few games

Yep. Expecting Swansea to be a tough one. Just glad Luton played last night, have to travel to M'Boro on Saturday before we play them on Tuesday. Hopefully they'll be cream crackered. Would take 3 points from the next two games.

All time record isn't bad, but that is going back to 1915

In "recent" times (2008-now) you're right though, shocking record and we've not beaten them since the 80s

For me I am so surprised of their league position. They were the best team we have played this year at home, passed it round us like we were not even there, first half especially.
Shock Paterson scored passed us!

going for 1-1

Is Russell Martin a manager who flatters to deceive? Just gut instinct. Gather his teams have great possession stats and teams who play Swansea (I read somewhere) do rather poorly in their following matches, as they have done so much chasing around. Has Martin really achieved anything inheriting a quality squad or are Swansea a work in progress who will come good? MK Dons under Martin seemed a bit average or am I missing the bigger picture? Need to analyse how teams have beaten Swansea, but not shag ourselves out too much that Luton bulldoze us like the last match.

Good side Swansea when they want to be and surprised they are where they are this season - just not going right on a number of occasions that's all. They can beat anyone, and we will need to be at our best to win here. swansea do not like it when you press on the front foot, it stops their style of play. We must be brave and agressive. Sit back and we lose.

I think we last beat Swansea in 1981.

I'd take a draw.

They’re another one of our bogey teams so would take a draw and smash Luton at home.
