What a fucking wank response , as if no manager including robins has ever started the wrong team

There will be circumstances to the selection today, mostly nothing to worry about.

I swear fans want 30 signing every window thinking that’s a magic pill. Doesn’t always work out.

Me personally , worry that robins is gearing towards starting Latibeaudiere as first choice , it's a genuine concern in my head as it would be a weakness that teams will exploit

He is one of best in the air and for a centre back isn't very tall. This would suggest he has a good spring. He was our stand out player beginning of last season, albeit in a back 3. He is decent on the ball.

You may be right, you may be wrong. Trust the management team. They’ve got most things right in the last 5-7 seasons. Personally I don’t. I think the back 4 will be Bidwell, Binks, Thomas and MVE.

Besides 1 or 2 tongue in cheek remarks , starting Latibeaudiere would be a massive failure in recruitment and a big weakness in our starting 11 with better players on the bench .

Unless you think otherwise ?

Again, where did I say that he’s a better player than Thomas? I think Thomas should start. All I’m saying is Lati ain’t as bad as some of you are making out

I didn't say you said Thomas isn't better. I am however disagreeing with you that Latibeaudiere isn't that bad. He's an obvious weak link for me.

With Everton in three days following travel I’ve got no doubt lati is playing in rotation. Sure we’ll see Thomas starting soon. I would also argue Lati will develop as a player and if robins is happy to start him fair enough.

My worry is he starts him in the name of experience because it's a young team

No. And he didn't get a good run playing in a 4. He was carrying an injury for much of the season end. Maybe they feel he is suiting the new system better at the moment.

I do , I think the sensationalist opinions to a player who finished the season poorly ( apparently playing through injury ) are way over the top.
I would play Thomas over Lati but Lati is no way near as bad as some on here are suggesting

No need to cry about any of this stuff in pre season though

If Robins thinks Lati should start this game then Lati should start... Let's just trust him

Do you think you could mention again that you don't rate Latibeaudiere because I am really not sure yet about your view of him?

The point of friendlies is to get players fit. You don't just play your strongest team, especially at this stage.

I think the whole experience thing is way over played and over stated on here . Players only gain experience by playing .

We’ll see, I’ll pay a lot more attention to the starting teams we field against Everton and Werder Bremen. The starting 11 against MK Dons and Exeter last season was more or less the starters against Leicester.

Last season, Thomas was favoured over Lati at CB so I’m struggling to think what would’ve changed.

3-0 down, Lati at fault for all 3.

At least, that’s what I’m assuming reading all this stuff.
