But wasn't that a fantastic move on Tuesday that nearly ended up with a goal for Baker?

Unfortunately he flicked it over the bar, but I have to say that is the best footballing move I have seen at the Ricoh for some time and it would surely have been one of the best City goals since who knows when, had it gone in.

Anyone else concur?

Yep in the excitement of the win I forgot about that, it's just a shame it fell to Baker as it should've been slotted not lifted.

I mentioned in another thread, was simply sublime. Baker rolled it into Platt who flicked it up and played it into Macca, Baker continued the run and a volley pass into his chest, good control but couldn't finish it.

It was a fantastic bit of play and for once players were moving into space to receive the one-twos.

Felt sorry for Baker as the ball seemed to take an eternity to come down - would have been a superb goal. Although by the time the Beeb had edited it down to our usual 1.2 second slot all you would have seen is Baker getting the ball in the box and scoring.

My apologies. Didn't spot that it had been commented on.

Was a great move.

Other thing people haven't mentioned much was the superb one on one save Murphy made with his feet - if that had gone in it could have turned the game significantly.

Tbh, I thought that Murphy had a great game, look assured all night, and had no chance sight he goal. After the first 20 mins the defence tidied up their act as well. As for 'that' move, I couldnt actually believe what I was seeing...

You mean NOT scoring! It was a great move - Platt was immense 2nd half

I think Baker got too much on the ball in that move. If it had just caught the end of his boot it more than likely would of gone in. Lets hope we some more of that on Saturday.
