Some people have probably seen this on Twitter but it's a great idea.

You can basically list which teams you don't like to exclude them and then you get sent a random shirt in your size:

Mystery Football Shirts's Shop - Depop

Depop have decided to stop me from selling! PLEASE if you are interested in a mystery box, go to my twitter @surpriseshirts!
www.depop.com

Mystery Boxes seem to be a thing nowadays It will be interesting to see what people get

Could you just list every other team so you end up with a Cov shirt?

What an awful idea!
I wouldn't wear any football shirt apart from Coventry (apart from when playing for a local 5-a-side or 11 game).
Would probably appeal to people with no real loyalty to a team - if they exist

Not the 'current' one. Not unless you can wait until next April.

I'd never wear another English Club kit, but would be cool to get a random Vietnamese 3rd division away kit

I think that's the idea, it won't be send you a Man Utd shirt but you would genuinely get something completely random like that.

Don't get the appeal of single item mystery boxes myself. I get why those loot box style ones work as you get a bunch of knick knacks and more of a chance you'll want at least one or two items.. These footy boxes seem a lot of cash for something that could be shit or brought elsewhere cheaper.

At around £35 would imagine you'd have your pick of random foreign shirts from last season. You could just give your credit card to your kid and tell them to go on classicfootballshirts and order you a couple of random shirts from the clearance section

Maybe worded badly but I'd definitely trust my eight Yr old choose me a shirt and click buy. He is a good lad and knows the value of money.

Don't mean to dis an idea at all. Hope it works out for them but for me ~£30 is a bit much for a random item

I wouldn't have seen the appeal of this at the start of the year but have started collecting shirts over the last couple of months. Trying to (very slowly!) pick up 90s City shirts and just random (non-British) shirts that I like the look of. The odd thing I've found is there's loads of nice Puma shirts out there that I love but I think all of the shirts they made for us are absolute balls.

The only non CCFC shirt I have is a Cameroon international top - from my mate , who comes from........ !

Edit: As a kid of about 7/ 8 years old I remember my first shirt (and only non CCFC shirt) being a West Ham top. Not sure why my dad got it me - but it was the Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst era, so may have been why. The thrill of getting a new football kit or ball back then still evokes powerful memories from when I was a football daft kid.

Anyone looking at shirts, Classic Football Shirts have 20 percent off until 11pm (code: happybirthday). They are generally hideously overpriced but have some gems in the clearance section.

Absolutely love Cameroon shirts as they tend to be slightly mental in one way or another!

Same with Vintage Football Shirts. My first ever City shirt was the 1992 yellow shirt with Wegerle on the back. I'd love to get that in adult size and they have that exact shirt with Wegerle on the back...but for £150!!

That one is on my wishlist! Love the character of Cameroon's shirts and I think that's why I dislike the post-2000 (up until last year) Cov shirts - they were just dull.

It's mad, isnt it?! I was looking at that Wegerle shirt and my wife pointed out 'you're considering spending £150 on a 30 year old, second hand t shirt.' Does seem a bit crazy when you say it like that. Still, if anyone wants to sell any 90s shirts at 2018 prices, I'm your man!!

I went through a spending spree in the early 2000’s picking up old shirts and literally most are worth ridiculous prices now.

Nintendo Fiorentina and USA 94 fetching upward of 300 quid!

I’ve also got most city tops baring Brown one-which even back in the day were going for silly money and now hardly any out there.

I love a Womble in a charity shop. I live in the Cotswolds and got into a habit of checking the local shops in my lunch break. I've found some obscure gems on the rails:

I've got a couple of match worn shirts from a family connection at home. A Mcmanaman Real Madrid shirt and Di Livio's shirt from the 1996 Champions League final. I'll fish them out and take a couple of photos.

As for other shirts I tend to buy fake retro England shirts and the odd Cov shirt and that's it really. I'll wear an England shirt for England games without fail, but never wear Cov shirts for games.

Also, that new England home shirt is quote possibly the worst shirt I've ever seen. Looks like a matalan knock off and is somehow too baggy and too tight simultaneously.

I would agree on the England shirt... I don't like a lot of the current wave of new shirts but had assumed that was maybe just my age showing... I have 2 England shirts, the 3rd kit from 1990 (Sky Blue ) and a red one from 2004 which I got because I was convinced we were going to win Euro 2004 while I was on honeymoon
