TBF you really don't have many good things to say about CCFC or Coventry in general, except when it comes to defending our beloved owners.

If you dont like what he writes dont read it.

You seem happy to give your opinion, which is generally the opposite to Grendels, so why shouldnt he.

You forgot shit managers and if all else fails repeatedly saying that SISU were CCC's preferred bidder so at the end of the day it's still all CCC's fault.

The last one is certainly gaining in popularity at the moment. I think it's replaced "l know SISU carry some of the blame but..." line. They must have realised that we were on to them

I raised that point recently, not Grendel, so why you having a go at him about it.

It was ironic as no one makes the right decsion all the time. You obviously missed that, but dont let it stop you jumping on the bandwagon having a go at Grendel.

I hate them all, is that ok with you?

Anyway now that Sisu missed the Rugby BC deadline for submissions into the Local Plan what bullshit will they feed us next.
I'm not happy with them but the few on here still entertain them and stop us getting to the real issues.

Stop deflecting attention away from Sisu and push them either for a plan on a new stadium or for them to park it for a bit.
Either way we need a long term deal with Wasps because we will be at the Ricoh for many years to come.

People mentioned being the council preferred because the others wanted the stadium didn't they? Not to try and blame the council for sisu being here?

To be fair that is record time to be back with pro Wasps rhetoric.

Grendel gives out as much as he takes.
His downfall is he gets personal when someone challenges his posts.

We all loose it sometimes but with him its almost immediately.

I said it tongue in cheek, implying that if CCC were wrong about SISU surely they could be wrong again with the sale to Wasps.

Whoosh it went straight over Tony's head as apparently its not right to point out facts, as it isnt blaiming SISU constantly.

Why would they apply to rugby council if they're pursuing this Butts plan?

I thought the Butts thing was just a rumour that took off on here. The Rugby thing was from SISU as they couldn't work with CCC.

So if they can't work with CCC how can the Butts thing be true? Or is it true because they play Rugby there?

I hate to shatter your ego but I've never actually noticed that you've posted it. Grendull and a few others have started saying this alot of late. Usually when they seem to run out of excuses for SISU.

No ego shattered Tony, I was just stating a fact. You ought to research before you do your usual, of hanging on the coat tails of another poster.

Of course you wouldnt have noticed I wrote it, as you only internet stalk Grendel.

'There were no fees' (for the club to pay).. OK but the careful wording of BR's claims doesn't exclude possible brokerage fees paid by Tesco to Richardson.. I think the £3M he mentions is fees for an independent broker, it is also a figure plucked from thin air, why would you pay 5% on a land deal, surely the market rate is substantially lower for a big deal like this?

It is necessary to question any & all statements made by every party.

Not sure who Astute is actually arguing with! Is there anyone who actually thinks Richardson put his hand in his pocket and purchased the site?

Don't doubt that they haven't submitted anything but where has that been confirmed? Was under the impression the new plan wasn't being published until March next year.

Incidentally how do you know they missed the deadline? Was there a Facebook update I missed?

The next time you cozy up to LAST and whisper sweet nothings in his ear, do me a favour and get him to tell you about the players who play for the club.

It might open up a whole new world for you - the football related thread.

The one that never fails to make me smile about certain Coventry fans is that if there's a negative rumour about SISU it's taken as gospel, if however there's a positive rumour it's immediately dispelled or coined as spin.

You've written off the Butts idea yet still seem to believe in the Binley Woods one despite it being less credible.

Got to say I am surprised there have been no follow up interviews after the initial flurry when Chris Anderson was appointed, on any topic, unless I've missed something.

Why wouldn't it be? I'd much rather co-own a stadium with Coventry RFC than rent from a soulless franchise.

Why would we own it ? Surely if Sisu bought it we would rent it off them ?

Unbelievably as it might seem, there are still some people that believe if Sisu build a new stadium that we will own it or get it rent free !!!

Can you explain the rationale behind SISU (who own CCFC) renting to CCFC?

I think the ground is kept under a different company so that it is protected if the club go tits up. That stops people buying the club out of admin just to get the ground. It's not unusual. I might be wrong but I don't think Wasps RFC own ACL; they are both owned seperately by the "owners"

The last time that we received positive news about the long term future of our club was when Fisher told us that we were building our own stadium and that we would get more information in 3 weeks. Many of us took it as gospel. But now just about everyone knows it was spin.

To pay for it ?
They have already talked about putting there own management company in (like ACL)

The point I'm making (and the OP) is that we need the facts or we are taking a massive leap of faith. (with Sisu)
Who knows, (takes deep breath) whether renting off Wasps may be the only way we can survive the next 10 years ?
Who knows, whether the Sisu statement that they can't afford ACL/Ricoh, may actually be true ?

Hopefully the stadium talk is just to get the best deal we can but it can't just keep going on and on.

Some club owners are involved in the clubs for the love of football. They keep putting money in or at least keep the club ticking over. SISU came to us to make money :thinking about: So if they put their investors money into building a stadium they would want a return on it. And they would see it being better for us to pay them rent and not to Wasps.
