Got to agree that things said under previous owners probably have to be let go. Not even sure what people are expecting TBH, there wasn’t much the club could do.

The promise was made by Boddy, wasn't it? If King believes it was a promise that shouldn't have been made, then personally I'd like to hear why he thinks that's the case.

Alternatively, just give me the shit gift I was promised and we can all shut up about it.

It wouldn't cost much and would be a quick and easy good piece of PR. Or if we really must be that tight arsed, at least make a brief comment apologising for Boddy telling porkies

Great that we've got time to ask about Wembley tickets (?) and extra allocation for the local supporters clubs (?!), plus literally a question about Doug's dreams in the first three items of a 29-point agenda, but apparently no time to ask about an undelivered promise made to every ST holder that seems to be getting brushed under the carpet.

How do we decide who gets to attend these meetings again?

I get that you feel aggrevied coming into this, but you've come onto this thread like some sort of crusader. If you have a better alternative or want to put yourself forward, I'll gladly get behind you and support you. If you don't then please stop this act of bringing people down and infinite sarcasm, because it's becoming unnecessarily negative.

This place has got pretty toxic recently and even though in this circumstance I don't agree with everything Pete does, he is giving up his own time and doing his best. You don't strike me as someone who would genuinely be that bothered about a free season ticket gift either, even if it is unjust. It just seems like a reason to have a go for the sake of it.

I genuinely think you should cut him a break, and yes, before anyone calls me out, I would happily put myself forward as a spokesperson to work with the club/help Pete. We should be working together, but this reaction is all just peak sisu league two shite.

No one really gives a fuck though do they? Even the ones that claim they do admit it’ll be something pointless. A new owner resets everything in my eyes. I’d rather spend energy picking the club up on promises made since he came in.

You’re right that I’m not bothered at all about a gift for ST holders. What I am bothered about is the idea that the club can make empty promises to placate supporters when they fuck things up, only to then not even be arsed to follow through with it and just hope we forget about it if they stall for long enough. It bothers me that they do that, and it bothers me that fans would let them get away with it.

Not only that, but it bothers me even more that if I want to take issue with this, the one guy who’s even close to being in a position to take my concerns directly to club management doesn’t feel like we should even be asking the question. In fact, he feels like it’s better to pre-emptively do the club’s dirty work for them, and make excuses on their behalf instead. How is that fan representation?

I have respect for any City fan who devotes time to representing the needs of the supporters. I think Pete has done good work in that regard in the past and deserves credit for it. But that doesn’t change the fact that for too long this club and its fans have had to deal with fan representation that has been either too incompetent, unaccountable, timid, or divided to really make a difference - and yes, unfortunately I think that’s still too often the case today with our current fan reps. That farcical list of questions above tells you all you need to know.

It’s been a perennial shitshow we’ve dealt with off the pitch for the last 20-odd years and it’s not going to get better unless we as fans actually give enough of a collective shit to organise and ask for something better. Other clubs have managed it; we seem to just accept the same old crap. Fan reps like Pete are in a really important and sometimes privileged position, so I don’t see why we as fellow fans should apologise for occasionally holding them to account.

I have to say I find the club justifying why not to honour a commitment to fans a far more worthwhile question than how to stop middle aged women wearing jeans.

Club want fans to trust them with cash, they need to show why that is and not be allowed to pretend things never happened.

Can you ask why it wasn't a £10 voucher? Then ask why it wasn't a £15 voucher , then 20 etc and see how far you can get?

Some interesting stuff from tonight.
Wifi is a problem and the arena are working hard to resolve the technical issue
Will write up the minutes and share with the club so hopefully they can be shared asap
Will put some information on here before minutes are agreed where I can

Sorry, just read the questions. Most seem to be for the benefit of the individual supporters clubs rather than the wider ccfc fans. Appreciate they're serving their members, but makes them appear insular and thinking about 'what's in it for me' attitude.

Just finished
I pushed a number of questions and got some answers but walls to others
Very interesting dynamic between Doug and Dave
No announcement imminent on stadium deal
Language talking about maximising revenue including season tickets and other tickets but nothing will be presented until arena deal done
No doubt it will be
block 13 being looked at
Away concourse set up for 6000 visiting fans and it’s one area so can’t have home fans and away fans that end
Gap not a safety issue but numbers that police will allow. Maximum of 5000 not 6000

Even when the away end is full there’s a block roped off. How come the police allow every team in the country to be separated by a line of stewards and not us

I think they would be it’s not necessary as we have more than enough seats for every fan that wants to come

End of away fans block 12
Potential start of us block 13

Shame the police limiting the end to 5000.

That's 1000 - 1500 tickets unsold at £33 for the Birmingham, West Brom and Sunderland games.

Equally next season Everton/West Ham/Leicester/Leeds/Sheffield Wednesday would sell it too depending on who's up/down.

Regards the away concourse, there has been the odd occasion when home and away fans have been situated behind the ‘away’ goal

Namely Crewe in the JPT / a community day a few years ago.

So it can be done, albeit it may not be easy
