I mean wanting something as cheap as possible and expecting a quality product. It’s like people who used to try and get repairs on their Jaguar as it’s a Jaguar and not accepting they paid £3,000 for a rusted 20 year old crock of shite

Nah it’s a shoddy analogy for me I’m afraid - ST prices are just not as fundamental to a Championship team’s fortunes as parts are to a car. If they were, why are other teams in our division deliberately cutting and freezing prices? Do they not really want to win?

You seem to be neglecting the fact we are already cheaper than all but 2 clubs

The Huddersfield strategy is stupid

So is our team the third worst? Has our brand value tumbled 40% over the last 15 years in lockstep with ST prices in real terms?

If there was evidence that soaking the fans was a surefire way to improve our fortunes on the pitch, or to improve the matchday experience, then I might agree with you - where is it?

An increase is likely to be £50 on a season ticket - £2 a game increase - which will still be VFM - sorry this is a stupid hill to die on

The season ticket prices went up last summer, fans bought them in record numbers but the manager was left to operate on peanuts while we sold a player to plug a cashflow problem. If they go up again and fans buy them in similar or greater numbers, who's to say they won't just cheap out on the squad again?

There is a logic that a club with a great atmosphere in a pretty full stadium is a better identity than a bunch of apathetic corporates spaced by rows but paying a fortune towards a playing budget.

More season ticket holders also, arguably, allows you to charge the day trippers more as they can't wait until the last minute before buying, and have to commit to going rather than waiting until the day itself and forgetting.

I don’t recall saying that would be a problem for me.

Anyway - off to QPR. Ticket was £36 so I bet their team and stadium are fucking amazing!

An inflation matching rise isn't unreasonable as a base price tbf.

But until and unless it happens we don't know what's around the corner. Guess some will be conditioned by how much we have to pay to play in the ground, too!

Will king a while ago on twitter was asking about prices with supporters. I think they just can’t get there hears round the ST price divided by 23 and think it’s cheap

What they need to do is find a way of isolating the north stand behind the goal and price that at less than now. Centre blocks in reality are cheap and if the corner block is high demand price hike that as well but make sure there’s an option that’s lower than this season so fans have an option

This is not going to go down well, but I'm going to say it anyway.

Increase the prices in the corner and centre blocks but REDUCE the prices in the North Stand to encourage people to sit behind the goal.

I think increasing the prices was inevitable. They haven't gone up significantly for a looong time and I'd prefer we can compete without losing a load of cash and finding ourselves at the mercy of the.next bunch of shisters!

I don’t - I want our season tickets to be as cheap/affordable as possible. Many clearly disagree, including yourself, so I don’t see why you should be surprised if and when they do eventually hike prices when many of our peers are doing the opposite. We get the club we deserve.

villa have announced a 15% increase - around £800 a season now
