Pete,

I hope you are well.

We are currently reviewing the shuttle service in detail and ideally want to expand as much as we can. We are working on a few plans, but we want to ensure we do things correctly.

The first step was to get the current set-up running and iron out any potential concerns and then build from this point.

We will ensure we keep people updated as things progress.

Thanks
John

There was some talk a couple of months back about the club laying on busses from parts of the city to the stadium on match days, which descended into a free bus pass for a month. Just wondering if any progress is being on this or if it's been put on the back burners.

I know that quite a few would use a bus service from Hersall Common, Earldson high street etc and would have a big impact of congestion/pollution.

that's further down the pipeline

they need to get he current station, city centre and ground shuttle firmly established before they can look at expanding the options within Coventry.

Can you get some clarification on the road closures.

Winding House Lane is clearly shown as closed on the website yet every week more and more people are ignoring the closure and coming out of Burbages Lane and driving down Winding House at speed.

Not ideal when people are walking in the road assuming it is closed.

I’d also like to know why this is allowed. Cars use the wrong side of the road to exit cutting across the stream of pedestrians.

Needs to be either stopped or made clear its allowed and get pedestrians back on the pavement

The drivers are getting more confident doing it as they haven't been stopped so they're becoming more aggressive coming out of the side road and then speeding off down the road

Also, can anything be done about the fans underneath the scoreboard when they're leaving the stadium and coming against the flow upto car park A. Possibly removing the barrier/wall between blocks 12-13 and allow fans to walk on the interior side of the bowl.

it would be a very expensive job, it's not just a wall there's things like toilets between the concourse of 13 and block 12,

Also the 12 and the rest of the south stand is quite a bit lower than the rest of the concourse

This.

I believe the club looked into it in the summer and very quickly realised it's never going to happen. There's offices inbetween and it's a major job as you say with the different levels.

It's pointless really.

Questions

1 - Leamington shuttle bus service to home games- I did ask the question but anything further happening?

2 - Can we have bigger screens in the concourse?

3 - Can you clarify what the issue was with hiring a number two? Was Chris Ramsey acceptable to Mark Robins but not to you?

4 - What’s the aim for this season given the management change?

5 - Can you clarify the road closures

Winding House Lane is clearly shown as closed on the website yet every week more and more people are ignoring the closure and coming out of Burbages Lane and driving down Winding House at speed.

6 - How important is the academy going forward? We seem to lose the best talents to bigger clubs and very few players have made the first team so interested in thoughts?

7 - How is the manager search going?

8 - Have Fraser’s given a timeline on updating the stadium decor?

9 - Can anything be done about the fans underneath the scoreboard when they're leaving the stadium and coming against the flow upto car park A. Suggestion to remove the barrier/wall between blocks 12-13 and allow fans to walk on the interior side of the bowl rather than outside

To be honest I don't think the flow outside the ground is much of an issue either as they've now made the fenced off area significantly bigger and it's eaten quite sizably into the car parking.

What's the point in asking about Chris Ramsey, based on nothing more than a rumour and we really don't need an ongoing he said she said over the events leading up to the sacking.

I noticed on Saturday that the barriers they place outside entrances hadn't been erected meaning massive queues with people pushing in and shoving their way through queues. The barriers were great and ensured queues "snaked" well away from the main flow of people walking around the stadium. Hope this isn't going to happen every week as it causes chaos.

the solution isn't going to be remove a wall, a massive toilet block and somehow dealing with the very large drop you'd have

I sit under the scoreboard Pete and could you alternatively ask is it really necessary for there to be a one way system around the stadium after every match? It would make mine and many others lives so much easier to be able to walk past the away end after a match

I can understand it for high risk fixtures but does it really need to be in place for Blackburn on a Tuesday night who haven’t even mustered an away end of 800 people

There is a lack of trust, 99% of people who go to the game aren’t brawlers and just want to get home, stop treating everybody like criminals

Yeah, connecting two concourses on completely different levels seems physically impossible. Pretty sure if there was a practical way of doing it they would have by now. Don't suppose the tunnel could be used in some way for exit purposes?? Is the problem significant enough to warrant laborious or expensive solutions?

When is the scoreboard going to be fixed to allow replays?

Why can’t the small scoreboard on the balcony display the half time scores from other games?

It's almost like people haven't heard of stairs. The barrier I was referring too was the one in the seating area. The wall is the one obviously in the concourse. If there's offices and toilet blocks then it's going to be a bit more difficult.

Maybe it's an issue that will largely resolve itself after a season, once those on that side of the ground change car parks or routes home.

Yep, it's ridiculous. We must be the only stadium that inconveniences it's own supporters. I go to loads of away games and both sets of supporters happily (for the most part!) walk past each other after the game.

Think there’s a touch more economic incentive for office space in Shanghai and Dubai than getting pissed up Ciry fans home thirty seconds earlier.

Walked out of Leicester away last season through all the Leicester fans… not one issue

However trying to walk past a thousand Oxford fans on a Friday night at our place is a non starter

Yeah and if Frank is there, ask him what's happened to Christine Breakley, because she used to be on the TV all the time until he married her, so has he got her locked in his basement somewhere.

The small scoreboard has been used most of the season. Not sure why it wasn't used Saturday.
