Surely people have got better things to do with their time !!

Newsflash: we’re skint!

“The postponements of four out of five home games this season has had a significant impact on our cashflow,” said the CEO, speaking exclusively to CoventryLive.

“We are currently well over £1m down on the forecasts made for this stage of the season. This clearly puts the club under enormous strain and is something that we are trying extremely hard to work within. However, the impact is significant on the football club.

Well makes sense as we have had no cash flow really this season due to games called off and this situation hasn’t been budgets for so it snot rocket science, the problem has depended as the queens unfortunately timed death caused another game to be missed called off, plus we had to rent Burton which means the cup game cost us money rather than making money… we need home games on after the break and hope it doesn’t have any impact on paying bills and the players in September

Not convinced it would, the fee was already insultingly low and probably wouldn't have all come at once.

so the fee from Hyam would cover most of that, surely they have to be claiming loss of income from Wasps as well, so fucking get on with it

I suspect a copy of the newspaper has accidently found its way to Turf Moor and Craven Cottage.

Dom Hyam was not sold in the light of the 3 postponements. Thepostponements have caused significant cash flow loss for the month of August but the sale is not connected to the cash flow issue.

So if the sale was not for cash flow issues why is Boddy bleating about cash flow issues

Hold up isn't the biggest hit to cash flow and team performance that we didn't make a big sale sufficient to buy 3 or 4 players ? Who was in charge of that ?

Yes there is a "short term" income loss but a big chunk of that is guaranteed to come in anyway at some stage because it relates to season tickets. Some season ticket income was received any way.

Yes we lost short term income cashflow but equally we didn't get the "short term" expenses. Yes there was a pitch contribution but could be compensated for that.

Say a gate is down 2000 the lost income after excluding vat is under 30k. Our owners couldn't cover that short term ? Indeed couldn't cover £1m if they wanted to ??

Of course the hyam sale mitigated things, unfortunately in terms of maximising cash flow it was the wrong sale given the owners history of non finance. How boddy could say it wasn't about cash flow is disingenuous to put it mildly

Think an efl decision is up coming in terms of penalty and boddy setting the scene perhaps

But the games are going to be played at some point. How are our owners unable to cover these losses for a short period of time?

We should have sold Dabo hamer and Walker for £32 million when we could

Dabo

Just had a glance on the Norwich forum and they were saying how good he was and they wouldn’t mind signing him. Easy to forget how lucky we are to have him, going to be crucial to any success we have this year, he’s not even fully fit yet.

The comment that says 'but potentially 3 players we'd never be able to replace like for like' is equally hilarious.

It’s just nonsense. Boddy is tying himself up in knots every time he opens his mouth. Does he think fans are just stupid.

The way they run the club is an embarrassment- we’re run as a plucky lower league club in the Championship - unfortunately relegation looks inevitable this season.

He's got a bench full of players he clearly doesn't trust and only 1 automatic starter to come back from injury.
Not sure he's OK with such a lack of resources.

‘Neil’s also started selling players David’
‘Oh I have too’
‘Really, who?’
‘Julian’
‘What’s his last name?’
‘Gray’
‘Oh I’m sorry David I thought I knew all the players, where does Julian play?’
‘In defence’
‘Where in defence?’
‘Just general defending in the defence’

Our squad is very light now very few options at the moment no left back cover or centre half cover a few more injuries and we are in big big trouble

Pete thanks to you for your efforts,as for boddy he's had an easy ride under robins stewardship, but the first sign of trouble ,of sisus own making ,the CBS fiasco followed by hyam and poor results he is a fish out of water ,out of his depth well n truly as is sisu being shown of how not run a club of such great history .
I'm sure JH is turning in his grave right at this moment.
