I don’t know if it’s just the contrarian in me. But right now seems a bad time to push TBH.

No one really expects us to move home before the pandemic ends, we’re still doing OK in the league even if we are all freaking out.

I’d certainly want answers going into next season mind.

I'm not sure the vapid non-answer answers serve any purpose anyway.

I mean, surely it doesn't take a perceptive genius to accept we'd like to be in Coventry? So without anything tangible, it's all about keeping people onside anyway, rather than offering any insight from them, or getting them any shocking information about the mood of the fans.

How does the club see it itself maintaining a Championship position with a relegation budget? (not having a go, just the reality).

I would reckon it would be by gaining more points than the bottom three....

No-one because it's not true. Don't doubt they read opinion though, would be more surprised if they didn't.

Think it's a fair question though, but maybe along the lines of how do we expect to work towards a more competitive budget in the long term that allows us to compete higher up the table?

If for example we had the bottom 3 budget each season, we will inevitably get relegated one season (for example when we have a bad year in recruitment). Is this model for example to sell/reinvest continuously and always hope that the new players improve the team and we can find bargains, or will we increase our budget in line with this?

i imagine the L1 promoted teams will have the smaller budgets than ourselve. As each Championship season goes - and we are still in there - our finances will grow.

Depends if the owners of course continue the policy of drawing out funds to pay the interest deferrals. That would limited the amounts available.

Also without a long term arrangement in place to return and remain in the Coventry Arena we will have huge issues in terms of short term revenue gaps and future funding opportunities

The truth is other clubs are better at finding funding for players in this league as the owners have a much more vested interest in the league the club is in. Sisu have no interest in that it’s debt recovery that matters

Barnsley should be the model we adopt - or perhaps Luton - as a roadmap to achieve in this league. I don’t see us being remotely interested in that

What would you need to be convinced?

Return to coventry next season?
Long term commitment?
Assurance that interest would not be paid off?
Stopping of interest on loans to Arvo?

Anything?

You are aware that both Luton and Barnsley were in a worse position than us football wise last season. They got to stronger by staying up and hopefully so will we.

We have all asked the same questions over the last10 years.
keep getting the same answers but are no futher forward, infact I believe we are now going backwards.
Many supporters have just walked away they will never come back.
I am the last one left from my gang even my brother who has been going up the City for 60 years has given up.

Brum put that nail in the coffin Covid will knock it home.
Sorry if it upsets people but Brum is absolutly shit the atmosphere is shit the ground is shit the journey to the ground is shit.
The whole experence is shit. We renewed our ST this year but will be a struggle to do so again no matter where we play.
Dont speak up to loudly you will get a 3 year ban, thats how nice that wanker Boddy is.

Barnsley have a model where they buy young talent to develop and sell on down the line. They do what we have started to do but a bit better (ultimately because they have a bigger budget). They don't rely heavily on loans like we do - James was their only loan in first half of the season and they only have one now (with an option to buy). That's the next level we need to get to.

What was the ban for? Doubt he gave it out for just questioning something. Was there agression or threat behind it? (Was this to do with people shouting at him in a service station or something similar - remember a video along those lines).

I've spoken to Dave a number of times, don't always agree on everything but always found him quite reasonable.

Sorry Have spoken to Tim many times he was also very reasonable still wouldnt believe a thing he tells me.
Boddy is just another Tim.
No our situation was at the Ricoh threw out one person for verbally abusing him when he wasnt even in the same area as us, just didnt like him and used the stewards to do his dirty work.

Well you know him well, he was gutted he was asked to leave which he did, then he got a letter from the club banning him from all games home and away.

They are I’m sure reasonable but when they are paid by and reported to someone who appears erratic irrational and anything but reasonable then the bottom line is they will do as they are told. Fisher is largely irrelevant and Boddy is a paid patsy just to look like a reasonable face against a very unreasonable back drop

No they are never ever going to be capable of running a club - they have to go and now even more so as we are at least in the league we should be in. They are useless - Seppalla has no actual experience of running companies does she?

Talk me through how that works? What leverage we have?
It’s easy to be a prick it’s harder to ask hard questions well and to maintain relationships while questioning people and holding them responsible for progress or lack of it

Oh we have no leverage but how can you hold someone responsible when they don’t actually care.

They don’t care and they never will. It’s very easy to ask hard questions actually it’s harder to just walk away from condescending platitudes

That's the problem if you want to maintain a relationship with these people you have to tow the line dont ask Awkward questions.
If you ask the questions they dont like but we all want answered, then you will soon be pushed to one side.

Anyway Boddy will just say I dont get involved with that side, what a cop out.
