Ok Peter let me Ask a daft question.

Regarding the road closures, instead of closing the roads why don't they use the footbridge that connects Car park C to the Arena for fans to cross the road after the game, because there are steps that allow you to go down onto the foot path on the other side of the A444.

Obviously fencing off the pedestrian crossing at the same time so people don't cross the road.

Of course it would have to be Marshalled correctly.

And then no one would have to be held up waiting to get out of the car parks.

Well no the biggest problem is you cannot access the bridge from half the ground as its fenced off.

Also you still have to cross the island if you park in Winding House Lane.

The bridge anyway would never be able to cope with the flow of people leaving the ground

I genuinely can’t see a solution that doesn’t involve closing the roads for as short a period as possible

It shouldn't be the hour though.

After the Sunderland game I met up with someone in the Anecdote for half an hour and then walked to my car at the CP1 car park - so a 15 minute walks - and they were still closed.

The only real potential danger point is the crossing at the Jimmy Hill Way but its open before the match with no stewarding and is still very busy

Have they created their own problem by saying they will open the roads as soon as possible rather than saying they will be closed for a set amount of time?

Although that wouldn't resolve situations like Sunderland where the opening gets delayed as people are incapable of leaving the ground without trying to have a punch up.

I've sat in carpark A until 5.30 most games, but the stadium is shut and locked up by 5.15, so why not release the cars then? everyone has buggered off by then

The answer to all the road closure shite is simple

Build a fuckoff bridge over the A444, about 8 times the width of the current one. Get the support work done either side in the car parks, road will only need to be shut for a night while they lower the main bridge structure into position

Then we have the tunnel to Car Park C, the current bridge that's in place, and then the new bridge

Paying for it however I admit, is the big issue

Only problem being who pays for it

A shame Wasps never asked for it, would have been sorted in a week.

Stupid idea to put a major road between the Arena and the the car parks. In hindsight they probably should have bought some land on the same side of the A444. Maybe it could happen if the existing car parks were used for housing.

Pretty sure they have now gone back on that now. Something to do with PL regulations although won’t be in it next season anyway.

Can’t you share the ticket with someone on Apple Wallet? They’ll defo lose a ST holder from my missus as she can’t make it every week and usually take a mate.

Story in telegraph about lease
We need to be exerting more pressure I think professionally and politely but

What direct efforts have been undertaken to extend it or to buy

There is nothing compelling FG to agree a new deal before the end notice period for the existing deal, is there?

In what respect? They're getting about £1m rent, we're not going to start paying them more if we don't have to.

Depends what the fine is and what we might be able to balance over a 10 year deal rather than the last 3 of this one

Is DK definitely sure about the fine? The way the rules are drafted it makes it appear like the rule applies to clubs being promoted into the FL but not existing clubs

Sounds silly could the supporters club ask for meetings with Frasers closer to the time like they did with Wasps to try and get some pressure.

Writing to council and MPs again closer to the timer especially at a time where I imagine Fraser needs to be positive with the council for their headquarters?

Just early ideas sure they’ll be some good ones but on the note of being professional think we just need to wait for the time being.

Not sure if it’s already been asked, but any word on when season tickets will be on sale?

We always seem to be late with them compared to other clubs.

Getting them on sale now could get us another record breaking sales

Hearing things that prickle my concern heads around the lease and feeling there needs to be much more critical questioning around it at the next forum once this season is resolved

How much is the arena? What’s the figure frasers have asked for?
How much has Doug offered?
Have conversations started about a new lease? What are they considering?

You guys are experts at everything so you can help?
How do you avoid the answer being it’s sensitive and needs to be as that’s true and the only answer (with a pat on the head) is let the grown ups at the club worry about it you support the team

Doesn’t need to get in the way of the focus on the end of the season at all but does once it’s over and not cause of the fine but because of the danger of there being absolutely no contingency plan

One question I would ask is why did he sign the defective licence unless to gain time to negotiate something better within the time?

Also will the fines come out Club income?

That reads that way to me as well.

They could be wrong, they spent ages saying they had to give away fans 10% of the ground when that was actually only for cup games.
