I mentioned in the previous thread about having better facilities for other forms of transport, better/more secure cycle racks, changing facilities/lockers etc. It seems sensible to me to give as many options as possible, especially with the council doing their part and putting in cycle ways all over the place.

Have the club thought about using the closed off parts of the A444 as a bus park? Could have rows of buses, waiting for fans. As soon as they're full they can be sent on. Could have 2 destinations, Pool Meadow and the train station, opposite sides of the city centre and it gives options for further transport use. They use a very similar system at the Metricon Stadium in Australia and it works incredibly well.

Need to sort out the basics with the trains. Timetables are infuriating. Trains scheduled to leave minutes before full time most evening kick offs. No other trains on the lines so don't understand why they aren't adjusted for match days.

Question will be about an all encompassing travel and transport policy for next season

To gain people’s thoughts. Possibly the whole point of a football forum.

Have they still not sorted that train that runs outside the ground that was promised even before the stadium was built?

It seems people are able to watch Saturday 3pm games through IPTV at a lot of Coventry pubs. I take it this is something the club aren’t interested in stopping? Or are they not aware it’s happening?

From another thread @Sky Blue Pete , play this more on a match day, 'While the sky is blue - The Believers'
Good memories for a lot of fans.

Please ignore any requests for the songs that people are getting nostalgic about in the other thread. All of them are terrible and people were probably too drunk to remember how bad they actually sounded. FA Cup song is ok.

Bit general those that’s asked and I will follow up on the holistic transport and travel policy for next season at the meeting next month

Thank-you for the message.

We are reviewing the shuttle service with our operator; things have gone well, and we are looking to scale up the operation to improve travel to and from the stadium.

Regarding other transport, yes, we are working closely with the Arena who operate the car parks etc, we are also continuing to push the train operators but the latter being a slow process, this is frustrating, but we will continue to voice our concerns and the need for an improved service on a matchday.

Questions from sky blues talk forum

The current lease agreement finishes at the end of the 27-28 season. What is the current position on extending this? What do the EFL think?

What are the plans for upgrades to cbs and what role does the club have in seeing these to completion?

Is the club still planning on appointing a director of football?

Can the club give an assurance that all facets of the transport policy will be reviewed for next seals.

Car parking - proper stewarding it’s a mess
Road closures - minimise the time and look at alternative solutions
Bus service - the shuttle bus service has been great and tweaks have been made
Train service - proper service to and from the arena station
Any possibility of changing facilities for people cycling to the game? Or cycle storage?

Any plans to get a scoreboard at the north end of the stadium for those in blocks 11,12 and 13?

Thanks

Pete

Interested to hear if the club are tracking that there's not loads of tickets being sold - esp. midweek - above season tickets, and whether they'll reflect on prices per game for U18s, match packages etc. You don't want to miss out on chances to turn occasional or casual fans into die hards in the medium and long term.

Linked to this - are the club going to make adult tickets in the Family Zone the same as elsewhere next season?

Another thing mentioned recently was whether the club would consider introducing a CCFC museum or Hall of Fame along the lines of the 2 Tone museum on Ball Hill.

That's because you're a complete melon if you're forking out £150 a month for Sky Sports etc instead of the dodgy stick for £60 a year

Basic economics

We pay about £30 a month for TNT sports and Sky sports through EE, it can be a pain as we haven't got a sky box so have had to watch most of our games through Now TV and can't record or remind them

Moved from Sky (went up to £154 this month) to BT full package inc broadband £68 this month.

I have a firestick for Cov games but they're not reliable enough to use consistently imo.

I've always been in the can't be bothered with the hassle and finding a reliable stream but the cost of sky now is insane.

There's fuck all on the movie channels now as the studios have their own services and you have to spend £50+ a month just for sport, the vast majority of which I don't watch. I pretty much only have time to watch our games, plus the occasional but of tennis or cricket so its really not worth the money. Can't remember the last time I watched a live PL game.

I'm locked in to a contact but as soon as that's up I think I'm going to go down the cord cutting route.

@Sky Blue Pete I think this needs touching upon tbh and I understand it’s a delicate matter and what I’m about to say might not be agreed with

But I think the club need to put a message out that from next season any tributes/applauses during the 90 mins of football will not be encouraged and should be limited to a moment of reflection before kick off and/or the annual remembrance fixture

We’re still having mud thrown at our name for scoring during the mins applause for the lad at Sheffield Weds the other week and it’s quite frankly ridiculous that footballers are being ridiculed for doing their job in a professional environment

Keep it outside the match and that way nobody gets hurt/upset
