Selling kcic t-shirts and handing out ePetition leaflets at Coventry market today, and not a cross word except for being visited by a person who announced themselves as being a member of the SCG who came to tell me how kcic is completely wrong. Just as the pro acl people have their mantra so the pro sisu people now seem to have a set series of points which run along the lines of, as I was harangued with today: sisu have invested £50m+ which shows what good owners they are; the Higgs court case shows the council has a lot to hide and sisu will win the JR; Simon Gilbert is pro council whereas Les Reid told the truth; Joy Seppala is a really nice person; the sisu skeleton argument is the absolute truth of the situation. When I said I wasn't interested in the JR or who's to blame but am interested only in how to get ccfc back to the ricoh asap the reply was 'well you're anti-sisu'. My reply was 'I've never bought into being pro/anti sisu/acl but like the majority of fans believe the council and acl have questions to answer but sisu are primarily responsible for moving ccfc to ntfc - and the ePetition is about calling all parties to account'. Their reply was something angry but inaudible and then to storm off! Really does seem there are acl and sisu fundamentalists with beliefs which they see as gospel and just refuse to engage in debate - either you agree with their fundamentalist belief or they just don't want to know. Thankfully, talking to scores of normal people today is great reassurance that while both angry and hugely saddened by what is going on (and also very despondent) the great majority of fans have no truck with the extremists at all. So a good day in the end.

Think you're going to find out that the person you quoted has 'hit the nail on the head' but I'm prepared to just wait and see. PUSB!

I wasn't twisting your words.

I also disagree with all this "extremist" talk, I agree that some people have other things on their agenda which I don't personally agree with but we are all city fans at the end of the day.

For somebody who doesn't like the "labelling" of fans you do it a lot

Fair play to you for getting to the market and I hope you sold a lot.

Agree with that. Moz was behind me and my lad at Peterborough and they were talking sbout some guy or other and Moz called him a "Sixfielder". As if he were some kind of murderer or something. It worries me that a lot of high profile figures in our fan organisations are so quick to label folk.

I've never really understood why people pick a side and then refuse to change their opinion no matter what happens. When the rent strike and talk of average rents started I was totally on SISUs side and very unhappy with the council but as things have developed I've changed my opinion based on the available evidence and if more evidence comes to light I am totally open to changing my opinion again. You do get the sense on here that, on both sides, there are people that would not change their opinion no matter what comes out.

This is why I worry about the Sky Blue Trust adding legitamacy to the SCG.

Could I have an explanation off people for the role and responsibilites of the SCG.

How democratic the groups are within the SCG?
How they consult their members to put forward their views within the group?
How are groups elected to the SCG?

I guess this information is freely available but I just can't find their website.

The political correctness on this forum would even bore Harriet Harman.

Surely if someone goes to Sixfields they are a Sixfielder?

Maybe you should try it some time. When you have a day like today, as with so many previously, of talking to large numbers of long standing City fans (today's record was someone who first went to HR in 1945 plus someone who until this season had had an ST for 42 consecutive years) and 99% say exactly the same thing it makes you realise how you and certain posters on here are at the extremes. You will no doubt twist these words too but the scg member was the only person today who made the comments previously mentioned

I am not twisting any words, but you keep going on about at the extremes?

Are you not the fella who was stood outside SISU's office with the table? I am a bit confused.

What do the 99% say? I am hoping it was they want ccfc back, and I would agree that that is what 99.9% fans actually do want isn't it?

And Sixfielder is just a name to describe someone who attends Sixfields. It doesn't mean its a derogatory term.

Yeah tbf in the right context, it's pretty harmless.

A bit like Hiller, or whatever they're classed as.

Well that is the lightest footprint I have ever seen on the net for a supporters group. Its just talking heads and does not really tell you anything about the supporters group.

I don't remember fans going to the Ricoh or HR having special little labels.

The way moz used it sounded derogatory.

But if you want to distinguish between fans who are attending and those who aren't Sixfielder seems a perfectly reasonable term. If I choose to attend matches I would have no objection to being labelled that.

But at that time we didn't have a sudden huge drop in attendance and people staying away in protest. Certainly at HR and the Ricoh groups were referred to by which area of the ground they frequented and that never seemed to be an issue.

Shouldn't make any difference. Having to create a reason for it proves the point.

Because strangely enough my entire life doesn't revolve around answering questions on this forum. I do have other things to do you know.

I got a point today? I have no idea what that means.

very interesting thread it does show from micheals post that all most people want is to get back to coventry, the owners of the club owe it to the supporters to give us a full explanation of their future plans otherwise i fear complete apathy will take over

It's irrelevant what some ones pigeon holed as,I'm often called a twat but have no resemblance to female genitalia as far as I am aware. All fans want to be watching Ccfc at the Ricoh weather you believe sisu or the council. Every one has their own opinion which their entitled to these for some will change after the Jr.

Some of what they said might be true* but it is important to remember (from a legal standpoint) that the Sisu skeleton argument was thrown out by the judge.

*e.g. I've never met Joy so don't know.

Just because you've never heard it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Your wrong on this.
