Do not worry, when we are struggling to survive in the lowest tier of English football people will still say
we are a BIG Club.

You don't think we should know what is talked about at the SCG?

It can be irritating at times that members of this self-selecting, self-appointed group are sitting in front of SISU trying to legitimise and dignify their ongoing misrule of our club.

It can't be genuinely "consultative" because no Cov fan in their right mind, when consulted about a move to Northampton, would have said "yeah, go on then"

May be being a trifle harsh as I'm sure all attending are dedicated to the club and are giving up their free time on a voluntary basis; indeed I know one members personally and he is a passionate CCFC man, but I'm yet to see any positive changes that the SCG has been instrumental in achieving. Please do correct me if I am wrong.

Love that we can't take aggressive action and when we try the proper process of using communication tools and asking for answers to legitimate questions I am accused of looking for stuff to whinge about

I generally agree with your analysis except that Sky Blues Trust representation does have considerable legitimacy. The SCG certainly seems to have changed from a vehicle for the club management taking soundings from supporters to a platform by which Sisu Directors and allies can attack their critics, based on the evidence of recent published minutes. I can't wait for the next instalment of "Let's Get the Trust".

I do not doubt any of the members of the SCG in their passion and desire to do what is best for the club. It is a thankless task serving on committees.

I have some questions about the SCG though

- who do the various parties involved actually represent?
- how did they get chosen to represent?
- how do they consult and communicate with those they represent?
- what are the notable achievements by the SCG?
- What is the history of the SCG who set it up?
- if it is so independent why in this modern world does it not have its own website? Not saying it isn't but perception could be seen to be part of the club
- Who has final say so over the minutes published on the CCFC website?
- when do the fans get a say in who represents us on the SCG?
- what is the SCG stance on playing at Sixfields? and whose views does that stance represent? I assume it would be to make the best of it, if so how have they done that?

To be honest if I hadn't been a poster on here I would never have heard of the SCG

There are a few bits on the offal.

http://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/article/supporters-consultative-group-486708.aspx - a well maintained page this,
The SCG is made up of fans' representatives and high-ranking members of both Coventry City Football Club and the Ricoh Arena.

Minutes published here, as well as other places like SBT.. (site seems a bit slow ATM)

According to CCFC website, send questions by email to scg@ccfc.co.uk and they will be picked up by fans representatives.

Yet over 2000 fans subscribe to the trust who appear on television and radio representing the fans. Yet the club will not engage with them because they actually ask the questions that the fans would like answering!

Sir/Madam

Please could you ask the club

1) when will be the fans forum date?location? Hosted by?
We all know the council will not partake so let's not delay for that particular piece of theatre to play out.

2) How is a new stadium financially viable? You have to have a business plan.
45+20+10 million means we will be in debt for minus 75 million. Selling the combined stadium and club will not get anywhere near that figure so that can't be the plan

So long term profits clearing the debt. We are currently 7 million a year in debt. This has to rise with the Northampton move. We currently pay over a million in a year in interest. Yet we will need to borrow more. It is impossible that we will be making any profit never mind the type to clear 75 million pounds worth of debt in the lifetime of the investors.

If the answer is promotion. How?

This season we started the season with Leon and Moussa
We will not have them next season. Possibly we may not have Murphy as well.
We will be aiming to reduce the wages to attempt to balance the books.
This season without the 10 point deduction we still fell short of the play offs (never mind promotion)

So please explain satisfactorily how is a new stadium financially viable?

Thanks

Lesbian gay bi sexual club?

Good to see the club has taken massive strides forward in terms of equality. At least we are doing something right.

If you get to the meeting with the club please ask the question for me

Maybe if you can ask one of the other members of the board to ask on my behalf Jan.

I fear if you ask, because it is a difficult question to answer ( it shouldn't be as the FL allowed us to move to Northampton, so they must have asked these questions). That Mr Labovitch may attempt to attack you and the trust as oppose to answer the question itself.

Maybe that club is specifically for those lesbians & gays suffering from dyslexia?

FYI...LCGB is actually the Lambretta club of Great Britain.

What have I just read, the minutes of a playground arguement? I was losing the will to live about 2 pages into the ranting about the trust. Think it is time the SCG was folded, what it does now seems to bear no resemblance to the tasks it was created for.
