I do feel sorry for any manager taking over at Sunderland. I think, quite rightly that the Sunderland fans have a high expectation and have been let down over the years by some crap signings and high wages (sound familiar?). If the new bloke doesn't hit the ground running and put some wins together, this season could already be beyond them. The takeover by the Dell Boys seems to be dragging on and is now in some doubt.
I know there seems to be little love lost between our two teams, but I personally wish them well. The North East has been decimated with job losses over the years and having a decent football team to follow gives a ray of hope in a dark place.
Just buckling up my tin hat...........

"The reality of this club is we have the best travel arrangements, the best medical investment, we have the best facilities, we have got the best budget"

that's pretty factual isn't it ?

I wish all genuine fans well. I have friends who support Oxford, Wolves, Blues, Villa, Newcastle, Sunderland, Liverpool etc. We drink together and talk football. Come 3pm on a Saturday I suddenly don't want to kick the shit out of them. Us fans are the spirit and soul of a club. We are all passionate and I admire that passion. The fact that all clubs have 5% who are knobheads and use football as a way to express their "manhood" creates this hostile atmosphere where innocent fans get caught up in. That 5% have ensured that we can take no beer to our seats, police escorts for some fans, hateful language, racist comments, frightened children, etc.
It won't change, I'm sure but there, I've had my rant.
Don't tell anyone, but I've even got some friends who are German!

Planning to talk to 5 managers currently "in work". Robins seems well up on the rumour list.

Nice of them to disrupt so many clubs.
Seems like they have no set idea of who they want, a lot of mangers linked were out of work so it could be quite a long interview list. They also have to interview at least one BAME candidate and there aren't many that spring to mind currently in jobs.

I suspect hes referring to things like hotel stays when they play away etc.

I no longer look after football team travel in my current role but when I did last season, i would say that Sunderland were below average on what they'd spend on hotels and meals etc.

Unless theres been a dramatic change this season (and I would guess that there isn't as they're still in L1 with less revenue than last season), I think hes telling a little porkie.

Whoever goes to manage Sunderland will have to deal with the inevitable uncertainty when the new owners take over which adds even more weight to the poison chalice.

I don’t think they'll go for Robins anyway. He's too unassuming and level headed. They'll want a manager who talks about automatic promotion and getting back to the Premiership within two years.

I agree that the uncertainty over who will own Sunderland FC in a few months time would put any manager who is currently working off!

I heard there's a hotly tipped Dutch coach called Ford Van Mot that's in talks as we speak.

If Robins takes the Sunderland job then it must be written into the contract that he has to take Baka and Grendel with him

You have an unhealthy obsession with panty wetting.
I've seen two posts from you the last couple of days. Both have included panty wetting.
