Wright. Possibly Allen mom. Torp having influential moments and the defence looked good, helped by Allen’s energy

Everyone played well, couldn’t pick a poor performance out. Allen really knits things together nicely, looked a lot more assured in midfield than we did against Stoke.

Wright man of the match. He was an absolute handful all game.

Wright a 10

Everyone else a 9

It was one of those days

Torp and Allen worked so hard. Grimes showed he can do the dirty stuff too when requires not just pretty passing. Saka was immense. Emc perhaps bit quiet but he put it about too when requires

Both fullbacks excellent
Both CBS were rocks
Dovin is dovin. Enough said

Great performance

Dovin 6 Only because he didn't have anything to do!

MVE 8
Thomas 7 Becoming an absolute menace at set-pieces
Kitching 7
Dasilva 7 Clearly first-choice at this point, insanity

Grimes 7
Allen 8 Would be an obvious MOTM on most other days
Torp 8 He can just destroy teams if you give him that much space

Sakamoto 7 STAY AWAY FROM MY BEAUTIFUL BOY
Wright 9 MOTM Can't believe I even worried if he could play this position
EMC 7 Teams are going to really struggle with him and Wright occupying that channel

Great performance all round, but for MOTM, it has to be Wright, for his hat-trick.

So wonderful to have him back

The closest thing to a pointless thread this will ever be, simply because it was an all round perfect performance from pretty much everyone. Wright, Torp, Allen maybe register in the super-human category.

It's so satisfying that Wright put that performance in as well. It's almost a relief as now the front three more or less can pick itself.

Really fantastic effort from the whole team today. Keep that up for the rest of the season and the outcome can be what we all want.

Massive credit to Lampard.
Plenty of us thought Wright was miles away, and to be fair he understandably looked it since his return, but he knew how to manage it to get him firing and look at the result!

Thought Paterson had a really good cameo and showed he has enough about him to really help us in the final run in, seems bonkers he wasn't used on Tuesday.

Everyone is a 9 or 10 to be honest

The pressing in the Sunderland half during the second half of the game was immesnse completely rattled them.

Bit of a reach on Paterson, he must have touched the ball max 5 times.

Extra pleased for JDS, Allen & Wright who get more than their fair share of criticism and were excellent today.

Very minor notes on otherwise very good performances:

Kitching a 7 for his yapping at the ref, getting a yellow and putting himself in a position where he’d have been yanked off on 60 minutes if the score hadn’t been comfortable.

EMC a 7 because his positioning lacks some precision and he is offside more than he should be given his ability to go past a player and his starting position giving him the perfect view across the back line.

Dovin a 7 because other than a weak shot in the first half he had nothing to do, but everything he did do he did calmly and competently which we are lucky to be able to take for granted for the first time in many years.

Amazing team performance and Wright with one of the best individual performances CBS has seen

That's being said I thought Kitching was poor and his distribution was woeful at times. Rash, lost battles and bad positioning. Not that anyone will care.
