They’ve taken some strange loan out and used the whole ground as collateral if it’s not paid. Strange goings on

Basically borrowed money from the club to pay for the club then write it off so doesn't have to pay it back. Some very fishy things going on

No doubt somehow, somewhere, the collapse of Sunderland will be Jimmy Hill’s fault. In truth I hope they don’t totally collapse cos despite the dickhead fans, there are decent ones too and I wouldn’t want that shit happening to any football club. Somewhere up in the smog, there’s a 7 year old lad like mine, whose life is football and Sunderland, whose heart it would break. Let’s hope these owners sort their shit out and get the business back on track without the dodgy dealings.

Would be a slight touch of karma/schadenfreude if they lost the stadium of shite though

Sounds like CCC lending money to Wasps/ACL to buy the Ricoh off CCC doesn’t it...

Corrupt fat-cat dickheads all around us ruining our game. At least lockdown and COVID-19 will pass. Unfortunately we’ll never be totally rid of these parasitic maggots

From what has been implied they've used money already within or due to the club to make the purchase .
That reminds me of the practice of 'borrowing' shares to sell , without ever being the owner.

This is not news they said when they bought it that previous owner would get the parachute payments, if I was them I would be more worried about the £10mil loan against the stadium and training ground

I've just finished watching the Netflix special which was well produced and an interesting insight.
What I derived from it, was Sunderland though a big club in terms of support and pasion in the north east, do rather think they are more entitled than they are.
They are no different to Coventry, Portsmouth and one or two other 'bigger' teams that find themselves down in the lower reaches for a while.
They have just come up short two season's in a row now, and while that is a blow it has still been a reasonable season. I don't think they have the same mentality and that brilliant coaching togetherness with the players that Robin's and Vievash have. Our team of recruitment staff, management and coaching has to be the best in league 1. Jack Ross on the other hand did not seem to have placed his marker on things the same way. If chairman are making too many decisions then you can't expect it to gel so well. I'd like to see them make it up next year, but again there will be strong teams in there which makes me happy we have made it this year.
