We have to be realistic, we are unlikely to scrape into the playoffs.

So I am really looking forward to the same fixture next year.

Sunderland, (if they havent gone bust) will be struggling mid table. Their parachute payments run out so Cattermole etc will have to move on or play for a pittance.

They've lost out on autdmatics, and will lose to Barnsley or Portmouth in the play-offs. With Nissan closing the town is washed up until HS3,4 or 5 finally makes it way up, and civilisation can revitalise it.

Today was the day they have finally realised it, hence the unhappiness.

It might be better if they applied to play in the Scottish league.

They will take more to brum/Walsall (or wherever we are ) than we do. Don’t think the police of a neutral town will be best pleased.

They might still make the autos. They’re 2 points off 2nd with a game in hand

It's all just internet frothing. Met many Sunderland fans today, All were pleasant and just wanted to discuss football. Bizarrely overheard one city fan explaining to a Sunderland fan why they hate us.

Playoff final, CCFC vs Sunderland, imagine the scenes at Wembley...

I remember the Oxford fans walking across a sea of Sky Blue...

(Not mathematically impossible)

That forum of theirs is full of weirdos, the Sunderland fans I’ve met over the years didn’t seem to have anything against us at all. This whole rivalry has been sparked by a few idiots on the Internet. I don’t understand how grown men can celebrate someone’s death over a game of football...nor can they seem to accept responsibility for their own teams performance over the course of that season...ffs it was decades ago!!

To be fair they are a decent and dangerous side , as with most the top teams though we raise our game and I think if you asked the top 6 managers they would say we were one of the best teams they played on that day... having said all that, I have no idea where that performance came from, 5 goals, all quality with some of the best football ( in places ) Ive seen us play all season ... and finished with an absolute beaut of a top bins from Chaplin
Robins must have got in their heads re. The Sunderland thing or something

Apparantly we didn’t take 2800 to Bristol (can’t take that many ) so that means Sunderland fc is a cup final for us according to them

Why? It's 65 miles from Sunderland to the border. It would make about as much sense for us to apply to join the Welsh Premier.

It was a fishing trip for the Sunderland forum. Just a bit of fun.

It must be 80 miles from Swansea to the English border.
