That said I didn’t see any such behaviour today and it’s easy to allege and easy to verify. Unless I see some evidence I’ll tend to think it didn’t happen. I repeat that if it did (and if anyone here can say that they saw it that will do for me) it’s appalling behaviour.
As for football fans who abuse players for 90 minutes for trying to do their job and the react like some offended flake when same player does their job and points it out to them, I’m not going to entertain such delicate little flowers.
Against Sunderland at the Ricoh Chris Maguire kept reminding the City crowd of the score when his team were one-nil up. Many City fans hated him for it. Fair play to him I say.
