He has probably only supported the club since 2018

It's just an odd response to somebody mentioning that the recent form is pretty solid

love that bassette just picked the ball straight up again and wanted to get back to it for the win

it’s early so he could end up being shit and i’ll have egg on my face i have a sneaky feeling he’ll end up being my favourite player

Just got back & no way you saw that response from such a poor first half …..& we could have sneaked it , with the penalty that wasn’t given & a little more composure

Bit mad to think that if we’d just beaten Derby it would be 10 points from 12 and Doug’s argument for sacking Robins would be very weak indeed.

Would then all be saying what a corner we’ve turned…

Just back
We played well but Sunderland were terrible for a team at the top of the league

Got back at ten. What a day! What a second half comeback. Proud of 'em and worth the 8 hour round trip.

Though Wright should have gone down at first contact if we were going to get anything.

O'Nien still a twat though

I said to my lad if he'd gone down outside the box he'd have gotten something.

It's quite a turnaround in the rules of the game when both arm's are being held by the defender ,he literally couldn't move independently,in his top half anyway, last time I saw anything like that I was being frog marched into an exhibition hall!

Kitching and Dasilva excellent.
Liked Lati playing the holding DM role. The guy is a warrior.
Asante disappointing. Simms should have been on at half time.
We were a lot more direct today, long balls into the front two, but that might have been forced with Eccles & Sheaf out..
Collins. Always felt comfortable with the ball being played back to him. Positionally, he’s excellent . Good talker, but he lets suspect goals in. He should have saved their 2nd.

I was being a posh twat and in a box today. It was an absolute stone wall penalty when Like o’nien (twat) was climbing all over haji’s back as he was 1 on 1. Ref absolutely bottled it

If the Father, Son & Holy Ghost were all in net they wouldn’t have stopped that.
Haven’t seen a ball hit that hard since Shippers a few years ago

Still away and I was without internet for the majority of yesterday.

Interesting read this morning and an excellent result in the circumstances.

There are enough positives to take from the last few games (excluding Derby) to give us hope the season is not a complete write off.

Still believe MR would have overseen that turnaround but (however shit that decision was) we can’t control or change that, so here’s hoping the new manager finds a way to make it all work.

Glad Tats seems to have his confidence back to take players on, cross and shoot.
We desperately need a spark in this team to energise the players into upping the tempo. He can do that.
He also lifts the crowd which helps a lot.
We need to find a formation to consistently play him wide left. I hope he's not just seen as a late super sub.

By the way , I've seen sunderland play several times this season on tv etc and now against us and they've never been anything special.

Theyve created less than we have all season ffs , they were shite against Luton

He's made a contribution to a goal in his last 3 games, definitely looking much more like it

I thought Collins did well yesterday, the two goals he conceded were quality strikes.
The majority of the team did pretty well, the only negatives for me would be Thomas’ awful passing and BTA’s headless chicken impersonation again.
Lets hope Wright isn’t out for long

Yeah. Collins was good. Have to admit when my lad read the team out my heart sank a little, but fair play, he was good. His header after the poor back pass was good too.

Haven't seen the Sunderland goals back yet.
Would I be right to say Rudoni gave the ball away which lead to the break for the 1st goal?

One little thing that I loved and is worth mentioning yesterday.

When DaSilva went off, there was the most brilliant rendition of his song as he walked around the pitch in front of us. We weren't even winning at the time. He genuinely looked shocked and moved by it. Something he's clearly never had in his career before.

As a fan base, when we get behind the players I'm sure they genuinely appreciate it.

He was great yesterday. Rarely gives the ball away, first touch is sublime. Bought as a LWB but suffered last season being played at LB, with Haji not offering much protection.

I think a slightly modified 343 gets the best out of us. Dasilva and MvE want to be wingbacks really, Saka and Wright need to be out wide too. I’d play Collins/Dovin as a sweeper keeper and Sheaf as a deep lying playmaker just in front of the back two. Allow the fullbacks high up the pitch and have Sheaf ready to cover a CB should we get broken on. Then have two 8s out of Rudoni/Torp/Eccles and a front three of Saka Simms and Wright/Saka Wright EMC. Aim to break quickly and hit one of the front three who have limited defensive responsibilities, and when building from the back go through Sheaf instead of Thomas. Basically the 433 but with Sheaf sitting deeper.
