Save us 8 hour round trip. Fuel in a car would have cost £60! And that's on BA

Ba.com.

So surprised how cheap the tickets were.(relatively speaking).
The cheapest going out is in Saturday morning, coming back Sunday evening. That’s cheapest option.

I’ve been told it will be 2100 due to the issues after the game at the Ricoh. Will know more after a meeting on Wednesday. Hoping they soften their stance a bit.

I already booked flights into Newcastle (€40 each if you're interested) for the whole family . If it's only 2,100 we'll be in the home end with mate from Newcastle.

Newcastle got 2800 in the cup a few months back so surely we won’t get less than they did.

I don’t think you’d have problems getting tickets for it personally

Just looked on trainlline, with senior railcard Cov-Sun £40 out, £25 return but nearly all retun tickets are gone! Over 9hrs on the train and 5 or 6 changes.

I’m hoping it’s more. We’ll find out soon anyway. It’s 3 weeks on Saturday isn’t it?

I've bought in the Sunderland end. Going up and making a weekend of it and didn't want to risk not getting a ticket.

Nah you’ll be fine, unless you come across anyone likely to be in their 60s who are still harbouring a grudge over a relegation in the 70s.

Chances are you have a few people on a forum crying all the time, but I’d imagine the majority don’t really give a shit.

Funny thing is, I live in Hong Kong and have recently become acquainted with 2 Mackems. Both nice lads, only 21... but both hate Cov because of that! I honestly don’t think many of the older lot care. It’s mostly the younger lot that have heard this story online and taken it over I think.

Acquaintances! Some of my mates play football with them... I don’t! They’re alright, naive and ignorant, I’d say.

In fact, I remember playing Sunderland 1st game of the season, around 2003-2004. Bright sunny day. We won. I was in the pub beforehand and it was packed with Sunderland fans too. They were the best fans I’d seen... really friendly, up for a laugh and not one bit of trouble.

I have a very generic southern accent so whilst I won't get a leathering because they know I'm from Cov, I might get one for being a southern fairy.
