It should be linked to spend, they have spent little so should get little.

I detest parachute payments they are so unfair and inflate wages and transfer fees in the championship

That’s not really what it’s for though.

Might not have much money at all. Had a lot of debt prior to promotion, increased wages v max 13k crowd, stadium upgrades to meet prem requirements! I wouldn’t say they will have huge sums.

Problem is teams have two choices - try and compete in the prem or take the money back down with them, it cuts off the promoted teams from the rest of the prem and then creates a mini league back in the championship.

the prem do it to encourage sides to at least attempt to stay up

It’s also why I’m agaisnt FFP, the premier league want to encourage competition - but they don’t want the big teams challenged too much

Their new stadium is dependent on a river culvert being rerouted so they've got some significant non football expense to use that on

Luton Town stadium river rerouting plans submitted

Plans to realign the River Lea in order to build the stadium are submitted to Luton Borough Council.
www.bbc.co.uk

That's a lot of hurdles to get over.

McNally back to Burnley Stoke announced today. Wonder if he would be cheaper now or a season loan? Either ways fits the profile lovely. I would be certainly interested

Just watching the England U17s Vs France

The English striker Dipepa looks a handful, plays for Port Vale!

Poachable? Will probably get hoovered up by some Prem academy but could be a good option as one to develop

Looks a handful? In an under 17 match? There's a reason why he plays for Port Vale

ONE TO DEVELOP

Thick comment, Wilson and Maddison were both in our squads in league 1

You are such an energy drain.

17 and had 22 appearances in senior football. Not to be sniffed at. He'll have many suitors.

Mentioned him on another thread a few weeks back. Been linked with Man United - poor lad. Would be a great signing but can see him going to premier league club.

Yeah no doubt, big lad for 17-18 took his finish well.

Moore looks a real talent too, Spurs so would have to be a loan. I'd imagine he may struggle with Champ defenders though

I remember a couple of years back we were linked with Louie Sibley at Derby. Out of contract now (although might require compensation). Versatile and room to improve. The club might have moved past him maybe.

Seen Ryan Sessengon is being released by Tottenham, I’d have had him a while back but seems to have dropped off since going to Spurs.

Really not convinced he’s good enough on the ball for what we want to achieve.
