Thank you for such a levelled and balanced post .Seems like there is a bit of an over reaction on here and other platforms, if we don’t sign a CM today I’m confident it’s not been for the lack of effort.
Reality is the club will want a player with the right profile, age, potential and quality - adding any old CM really isn’t going to help us.
We’ll all be disappointed and I’m sure none more than the Gaffer, but I’d rather we wait and pick the right one up in January then purchase the wrong one now.
Also, the free transfer market remains open beyond the window closing tonight so there maybe a player within that or who comes available later which the club fancies.
