I don’t think anybody wants to sell Simms or Wright, but the forward area is clearly our strongest so I think what people are saying is if we had to sell a big name to fund some more business, i.e. in midfield, then you’d more likely choose Simms than say Sheaf or MVE.

Sheaf’s great but I think he’s more replaceable than Hamer and the issue atm is we haven’t got much cash to invest in the midfield. Buy 3 decent players with the £12m-£15m and we’d be set. We’ll probably end up starting most games without Sheaf at this rate anyway

Bassette deal starts to make sense ......Sheaf wouldn't go to Luton in a million years. I don't think they'll achieve their yoyo club goal and will settle back in their natural position. Billing plus cash for Simms... now that would be tempting, if we had time to replace Simms.
