Panic if we don't sign anyone this evening. We tend not to announce before the evening. Even then, still have tomorrow.

All of our rivals have lost or are apparently losing key players (except Boro). It's so nice to go into the last two days of the window only worrying about who you're bringing in rather than who we're gonna lose.

We definitely could do with a couple more to up our quality, but in terms of overall numbers we're good to go. It's a very luxurious position to be in.

I disagree, our midfield is not "good to go". We are short in that area and have been for a while.

Hamer leaving those horrible cunts up north on deadline day would be almost as satisfying as bringing in someone decent ourselves. But yes, like i've said before, up to this point most teams look weaker than last season with regards to the quality of players that have left.

Weird, that comes up for me too and it does indeed say it was published a week ago but it’s talking about his loan last season. Even quotes their previous manager.

How very strange, I rescind my earlier sarcasm in that case

Take Sheaf out of that CM selection as he's guaranteed to miss another 10 games this season and it's woeful

I would actually take Kyprianou. I would have just taken him in June instead of deadline day though.

Numbers are fine, problem is Torp has only looked good next to Sheaf, and Allen is not good enough.

Incorrect, it’s actually £5.5m as Peterborough don’t want to lose him for the season so we have to loan him back until June 2025

If we were signing Kyprianou it would have been done by now.

It's not so much it being woeful but you're only 1 injury away from a very weak midfield. No Sheaf, no control at all.

But Torp, Eccles and Rudoni won't 'boss' a midfield and take the game to the oppo, we need someone in the Hamer mold who will do that. We need energy and someone to drive at teams or be able to dictate/control a game.

I didn't mention Palmer as he's just a show pony haha, but I like him.... sometimes.

We’ll see how serious we are about going up, if nobody else comes in then that squad isn’t good enough, top 6 maybe but one injury/suspension and that midfields mid table at best, at some point sheaf Rudoni and torp will need a rest, soon as Eccles or Allen come in we’re poor, still think we need another centre half, can’t see us getting a midfielder and a centre half of the quality we need to get us where we want, my opinion those are the 2 positions we should have filled first
