Like to look of this lad to be MVE understudy. Ex teammate of Dovin. Lots of similar characteristics

What’s annoying is we have known since last summer that we needed more quality in midfield.

If reports are to believed, this is any area we had some high profile targets. I am sure they haven't forgotten

We went after Stamenic for big money. So it isn’t something we’ve moved on from. Obviously an area to be strengthened. Issue is we won’t spunk money on anyone and we’re pretty diligent on our targets.

City take on Brentford this afternoon, with kick-off scheduled for 1pm.

Luke Bell; Jayden Smith, Riccardo Di Trolio, Kain Ryan, Callum Perry, Harvey Broad; Elliot Betjemann, Kai Yearn, Charlie Finney, Aston Ellard; Aidan Dausch.

Subs: Daniel Rachel, David Mantle, MacKenzie Stretton, Conrad Ambursley, Tionne Critchlow-Woyo.

Number of players here not playing. Will be interesting to see if Tavares, Obikwu, Andrews etc are in the squad tomorrow.

Obikwu is injured. May have missed out on a loan move because of it.

Leeds target Hamer... According to Nixon. Bid of £13m rejected and being described as miles off!

Hopefully triggers few prem teams into action. He’s too good for Leeds also.

You just don't get it do you? What we really want is in limited supply. But if you have an extensive list send it in.

The transfer market is fluid and ever changing.

But sometimes you have to pursue a target over two or three windows. Of course you can just give up, panic and sign some bang average player.

I thought it was the old 2-3-5 formation:

Goalkeeper 1
Right Back 2
Left Back 3
Right Half 4
Centre Half 5
Left Half 6
Right Wing 7
Inside Right 8
Centre Forward 9
Inside Left 10
Left Wing 11

No substitutes.

The ball was made of leather, weighed about half a ton when wet and was tied up with laces.

Pitches 6 inches deep with mud in winter.

A goal scored by shoulder-barging the goalkeeper into the net when he was holding the ball would stand.

Those were the days

I might be wrong on this but I think the record fee spent by a Championship (definitely prior to this summer) is still only about £15m.

I won't write him off, but it a massive season for him. So far he has been the biggest fail. He seems to me to have not only a lack of pace for this level, but a delicate attitude?

Depends on the structure of the deal. Most media transfer fees are off the mark so if you compare them you will be further off the mark.

Don’t think Sheffield United need to sell, especially if they aren’t going to make enough profit to warrant it. He improves most bottom half premier league teams though…especially Everton. Mind you, Eccles and Torp improve Everton atm.

I do get it. I’ve repeatedly said the reason we haven’t got one in yet is because we keep getting gazumped, but as a fan it’s still concerning we haven’t got one in over a year.

Anybody think that Gus is now done with his little Premiership adventure!?....
Had a spell playing in a poor side in front of dwindling crowds at Bramall Lane.... Player of the year again...
And is now happy to sit tight on a decent wage, winning games and picking up plaudits every week as one of the best players in the league!??
And in this case a move to Leeds would be appealing to him...
