It is probably being done with major outgoings next summer as insurance. This is one case where the reward is greater than the risk I think.These signings are fantastic and I'm sure it's all ok, but I sort of would like Doug to reassure everyone that all this money being spent is accounted for and we're not overspending trying to reach the promised land. You have to wonder whether the likes of Andrews,Dausch and Obikwu will be nearer the first team with another year's experience tooHypothetically speaking, even if we don’t get promoted this year and sell our 4 best assets (Simms, Wright, Sheaf, MVE) then we are still starting next year from such a strong position:

Yes, but it’s the distribution of the depth.Try and look at it from a different viewpoint. The one thing that's stopped us at that final hurdle in the past 2 seasons is our serious lack of depth. Imagine we had the options we do now in that play off final. If we want to compete with the bigger teams we need some serious strength in depth. I think we are making some really smart investments. Yes we are lacking in a couple of areas, but they know this. Work going on behind the scenes to bolster those areas.
