yeah, Rudoni shows as further up as he is the 1 of the 3 that is further forward as he does push up further but he also drops back into a lot more deeper positions than say O'Hare did last season

He was in a midfield with both Hamer and Sheaf though. Inevitably that's going to make his life on the pitch significantly easier.

Without that level of quality around him he looks horribly exposed.

There was a fairly big other difference in that he was being asked to play as an attacking midfielder in a box midfield as opposed to further back where he's being asked to do things that he just isn't suited to.

And is far more suited to providing that variation and flexibility from the AM position (if I can call it that) than O'Hare would have been. Not necessarily saying he's a better player, but Rudoni has more strings to his bow.

Eccles is the least of our problems in that midfield though

Sheaf
Eccles
Torp
New CM

then I’d be content with our options in there

You’re right he’s the least of our worries, and I don’t think he’s a bad player at all (there’s things he can improve but he’s decent at this level), I’m just saying that if he’s one of our best then our midfield isn’t exactly stellar. We need numerous defensive players that are as good as Eccles, if not better, in order to have a fully functioning midfield that can last a whole season.

Last two seasons he's only just been behind Sheaf on most of the stats and ahead of him in a few others

I think he’s decent, and as I’ve said before I’m willing to keep an open mind and watch him more intently this season, I just find he lacks a bit of confidence and vision going forward, that’s the only gripe I have with him.

I’d take Ollie Norwood on a free for a season. 33 played 27 prem games last year, knows how to get out of the league and plays the holding role. The leadership would be great could play alongside Sheaf or cover for him. The kind of player who can slow it down and kill off a game.

CB wise I’m hoping that should Hamer or Gyokores move on that we go back in for Joe Worral. That would give us some serious strength at the back.

I have to admit for a cheap more experienced centre back I liked the look of oxfords number 5, Moore. He would be cheap and has early 300 games under his belt

Think he's due to sign for Stockport? He would be worth a punt tho

He’s the ideal Kelly Replacement (Kelly is a club legend and great servant) but better. If your 1-0 up with 10 mins he could come on and make a big difference. Could also help Sheaf develop further

We each have our own views. My concern is strength and quality at RB if MVE gets injured or needs a rest. At the moment we cannot put Eccles to cover as I think we all see Torp and Allen don't work together. If Lati is starting at CB then logically you don't want to move him over which means we are a little short. Get in a new CB or RB and the cover is then available

Depends on if we manage to get some of those on the fringes out the door. We also need to get a few younger lads out on loan to mens football.

Loans for Obikwu and Dausch L1 and L2
Burroughs, Howley, Collins, Allen and Tavares could be permanently moved on.

Guess Bristol or Norwich as they are the next two fixtures. If we are looking at Worrall we knew he wouldn't be playing so nothing to go and see. Otherwise many rumours have been overseas so would only be available on TV or an overseas flight
