Well this has escalated.... 2 pages ago we were talking about a new CDM now we're onto homophobia and accusing people of being a child abuser.

Soooo that Lasse Berg Johnsen looks pretty good

'Still the same' - Victor Torp explains why nothing has changed for Sky Blues

Latest Coventry City news from CoventryLive as Sky Blues midfielder reflects on Stoke City defeat and Sky Blues aims for the season
www.coventrytelegraph.net

Feel like that headline is quite apt, “yeah just “still the same”, nothing has changed really, same old Cov getting off to a shit start”

Anyone got that meme of the stickman poking the Cov badge? Love that

There is absolutely no way Gus joined Sheffield Utd to showcase his ability only to stay with them now they are relegated.
He will go to a lower Premier League side or will go abroad . Makes zero sense for him to play a season in the Championship at this stage of his career

don’t necessarily agree with this - look at Vik, he was standout and got a move to a weaker league than the Prem, and arguably than the Championship too if you take all the teams in that league and compare, but because he was scoring for fun in that league and also had European exposure he’s now being talked about as the next big thing..

really Gus could do with staying in the Championship or going abroad and having an outstanding season so he’s noticed by bigger fish, if he went to a lower prem side such as Ipswich I would imagine the same thing would happen, he was one of Sheff Utd’s better players at times last season but he was hardly standout in the league

just my thoughts, but if it was me I’d be having a good think about what will get me the most exposure and the best opportunity to standout, not sure a team likely to struggle week in week out in any league is a good shout

I still struggle to see where Palmer fits in this season .
If we can shift him it frees up the possibility of signing two midfielders. Maybe one permanent and one loanee ?

He won’t fit in. He has zero engine - question is who’d want him

Palmer is the Rudoni backup so if we sell him we'll need to replace him.

Hopefully he's looked like Iniesta playing for Jamaica & an American club picks him up.

Well we've only played one game (friendlies mean nothing really).

But if Rudoni were to be injured then Palmer is the only other 10.

Hamer will go before the window closes, he would of took a hit on his wages and will look to recoup the loss. Plenty of teams would pay the wage he wants and take him no problem. I think the fee will be the hold up as Sheff utd will want more than 15 mill.

The squad tomorrow will tell you if he is close to out or not. As for us our squad tomorrow may give more clues on who is surplus and will be looked to be moved on.

Id be happy with any Owen Beck, Worrell, Travis and Madsen.

Hamer’s celebration on Friday night after scoring was probably more about him knowing he’ll get a move now!

Absolutely spot on.
There is some unfair revisionism going on about O'Hare. He was brilliant for us before his injuries. The most fouled midfielder in the league for a reason.
The jury is out whether he can regain his top form after his ACL.
MR wanted O'Hare to stay but the lure of massively increased wages was too much. I know he wanted to play every game and was upset, but that is the sort of players you want.
MR said how important he was in the dressing room with his ebullient character, even when injured.
Rudoni looks a class footballer and is younger. Time will tell if he is going to outshine O'hare.

The better solution is Vik moves soon and that cash gives what we need and then Hamer moves at the last second so they can’t use the cash to bring in more.

Worried that Viks release clause is going to create problems for clubs with FFP.

They don’t have to pay it all even Lisbon must realise it’s a limited market unless Chelsea decide they haven’t bought enough players

Some differing interpretations on that. It says ‘the summer window following relegation from the PL’, which should really mean till the end of August. Some take it to mean it’s invalid following the start of the Championship

Any updates on Vik to Arsenal? Bed-wetter extraordinaire of course, but just would have hoped there’d be more talk of him by now, starting to worry he’s not going to move 🫣

After Rudoni we have no worries in terms of options. Allen and Torp can play there - probably very well.

If Vik moves it will be a deadline day scramble, still think Hamer will go if the fee is reached. He will definitely not have any problems with a medical or agreeing terms if its a prem club.

James O'Connell would be worth asking Liverpool for a loan to buy with multiple clauses. He is going to be a very good no 6 young, good background just needs games.

Few tweets saying it's a done deal, obviously you have to take it with a pinch of salt, Sheffield United is a shithouse club and Hamer can do much better, I think he'll do well at Ipswich and I think they will stay up this year

I can't see why a Prem team wouldn't take a punt on Hamer. He was pretty much the only bright spark for Sheffield United last season.

Any idea what is putting teams off? His buyout is ~20m isn't it. Se ms a bargain for any lower half Prem team to me
