Teams trying to survive as we will be can’t be going in for prospects in general, that’s for established clubs. If a genius level technical player falls our way then sign him up, but we need players who we can trust to stand up to the division physically.
Well we could go for prospects but we wouldn't pay £15 million for one like a Brentford would right now. That's not where we are. Don't rule out us trying our arm on a couple of £5 million-ish signings.
This thread is scary. How much cash do some think we’ll have!! We make losses. We’ve just spaffed £50m on a stadium. King is very savvy - look at the fantastically small amount we gave to agents. I think he’ll look for bargains rather than dropping millions on it.

I think we also need to be realistic that we will be odds on to go down so we do need one eye on making sure we have an improved squad but one that will stay together (mostly) to ensure we are in a very good place to go back up the year after.
Maybe a bit ambitious but Fabio Vieira from Arsenal? He’s doing well on loan at Hamburg this season and they have an option price at £17.4m but from what I’ve seen they want to pay less.

Guess we'll see a tonne of late deals this year with the WC on.
Players hope their stock will rise during it- and focus on that before looking at moves afterwards. Remember prem managers moaning about slow activity in WC years previously
Really? I'd refer you to the several dedicated threads over the years his weird fanbase have started on him trying to claim he's the second coming of Maldini.
Kitching is what I'd describe as your typical Championship defender from a solely defensive standpoint - sometimes good, sometimes average, sometimes awful.
What sets him apart is that he's decent with the ball at his feet and he has a good range of passing which makes him a useful addition.
However his inconsistency as a defender seriously lets him down - hence why he was dropped for much of this season, which is why personally I think he'd be a car crash in the PL when he'd come up against faster, more intelligent and stronger opponents.
