Ok @Nick was correct

He could have moved eccles into midfield for Hamer and brought Milan on.

Could also have taken godden off for wright and not Simms

Was it just Kelly and losing Hamer or was it just missing chances and them talking theirs??

After rewatching the second goal , I'm not sure you can blame anybody else but sheaf for wandering away from JDH .

At the time looked like Kelly was too far away from him , but it's poor from sheaf

Sheaf was overstretched once Hamer went off. Palmer was left on too long and replacing simms and not godden seems strange

I agree that the sub was wrong and the hamer sub effected us .. but watch it back he literally wanders forward and Kelly is already too far from him to close down JDH .

We have to call a spade a spade right .. poor by sheaf

Simply not true. Hamer is a fabulous player but he will be replaced and new heroes will emerge.

He always seems to take a few games to get his concentration right.

To be fair , that would be shifting the blame onto him when it's simply not his fault ..

I agree , not slating him as he's a pivotal player , but he's had a mare there , got to let Van ewijk defend the cut inside

My point was the midfield just disappeared after Hamer went off. Wasn’t sheaf trying to close down the guy crossing from the left for the first?

There’s two men there, no need for Sheaf to be drawn towards the ball.

Not sure , I agree about when hamer went off , but I felt like it's our own mistake that cost us a point Irrespective

Losing Hamer was the difference. If you take him out of our team we really struggle to play the way we want. I'm not sure Eccles staying at CM would've changed much materially. I imagine people would be questioning why Kelly wasn't brought on to protect a lead in.

Simms was probably taken off rather than Godden is because he's had more minutes in pre-season. The Wimbledon game needs to be used to blood in the new signings asap.

I think that taking eccles off changed the game.
He had their winger in his pocket and this allowed our midfield to cover the middle. As soon as he went off their winger had more time and space and we compensated by one of the midfielders covering. This then left more space which dewsbury hall exploited.
we weren’t as good going forward without Hamer but defensively it was down to changing Eccles.

wouldn't have happened with Eccles there, Van Dikhead was waltzing around as a midfeilder rather than a RWB @shmmeee

We lost midfield presence with hamer off and didn't look dangerous with godden and Haji bar that one run.

Sheaf lost his man for the winner for sure.

Combination of factors. Kelly for hamer probably the biggest factor

I think losing hamer was a big blow, as it was vs Luton, he makes plays when he is on the pitch he bosses that midfield flying forward and back, why it be so hard to replace him he does 2/3 people’s job alone, however I hope and respectably Liam Kelly makes only cup appearances and maybe against lower opponents, he is to slow now to deal with the pace of games like todays, his first 4 touches were
3x given away
1x backwards

then he got out paced, I would rather Eccles be benched and coming on in 60/70 mins

I agree. Eccles was one of our best players and MvE just wasn't up to speed. Surprisingly this change had more impact that Hamer going off in my view. I thought Kelly was fine.

Could of done this, could have done that.

Ultimately I see why he's done it and it has backfired.

Today we've proven we're no push overs at least
