Daniel Sturridge pulls up at the start of the game in front of the watching England manager Southgate. And speed skater Elise Christie falls over and crashes out of her Olympic race. Both obviously are gutted especially with so much at stake,not to mention all the training and effort put in etc. It got me thinking has anybody had a let down after putting in hard work, and been left devastated ? For myself when I was at school I played for Caludon Castle football teams and Coventry Boys too. I received a letter from Coventry City Football Club that they wanted me to attend a coaching session, and my school coach told me he'd heard they were looking at signing me up with a few others. Too say I was excited was an understatement. But a week before the sessions I got yellow jaundice and was really Ill and couldn't attend. It took me months to get well again, and lost a bit of form. I often wonder what could of been !
