It was the major contributor to relegation from the Championship. If the board had got in Robins when we were first interested, I believe he would have kept us up and he wouldn't wasted the money that was available on signing Cody Mcdonald.

No but you said the worst decision. Getting the football manager right has to be the big decision to make. Appointing someone who was remotely incapable of ever performing in that role was catastrophic. If you had a football manager that insisted on playing Michael Misfud in goal for a whole season and they lost every game there would be other factors but ultimately that is the one you point to.

The problem was that those who believed we had found the next Brian Clough were/are too stubborn to admit that they were wrong.

No you said the biggest mistake - and sticking with the worst manager in the clubs history has to be the most damaging decision they made.

Sacking him 3 games in of course was correct just too late for promotion but it saved us from almost certain relegation.

Can't agree with your second bit, once you have decided to back him to hilt. You don't sack him after 3 games its ridiculous. Especially two draws with one team who are now promoted and the other who got to the play offs.
3 shocking defeats may have justified it.

You go one way or the other sack him and the new man makes the signings or run with him for a reasonable enough period of time to see how those signings do (15 games)

Ill mention that to him on Sunday.

Which bit are you referring to when you say I say the biggest it worst decision? (Genuine question)

We had already had to put up with him for too long. There seems to be this belief that he was only ever at the club for 3 games now. No doubt it will be added to the myth for the future generations.

It was nothing to do with the results - he convinced the club to back him but just didn't have what it takes. The team were prepared poorly and the signings were nearly all poor. So he can't sign players, can't motivate, can't develop tactics. Results were never going to improve and they realised they had got it very wrong. I wish he had stayed as he would have got it big time as results deteriorated.

Of all actions SISU took appointing him was the worst and continuing to stick with him as bad.

Andy Thorn is the most clueless, inept management appointment in our entire history. He makes Coleman and Terry Butcher look like Alex Ferguson in comparison.

Do you think if a lot of their mismanagement of this club can be equated to mismanagement of other people's investments leading them to been vulnerable to legal action?

We have danced round and round the AT one so many times I am bored of it. I know for fact others are as there will be a post on here soon by someone saying 'yawn'. There is not much more to say. You 'G' man and others say the mistake was sacking him too late.
I say if you didn't do it end of season once someone has signed most the squad you have to let them run for more than 3 games.
Not sure what else we can say.

We will never know as he was sacked after three games.

All we do know is that the team totally turned around their form once Robins was in place. That says it all really. And, I didn't mind Thorn before you have a go.

"Can't see past the rent". That was the catalyst of all our problems. The previous board tried to get a reduction. SISU have fucked things up, no argument, but there are other factors which you and others blatantly ignore and always will.

Everything that these bastards have done to us and are still doing to us and yes I am talking about Sisu and you still cant see past the rent can you? No ALL our problems have been caused by the rent. Relegation to the third division caused by the rent transfer embargos caused by the rent loss of thousands of fans caused by the rent have I left anything out like the huge debt hair brained schemes etc. Youve got that stupid little ditty on the bottom of all your posts just sums up your jumped up petty minded attitude dont see anything regarding the Sisu bastards on the the bottom. Yes the rent was too high for a third division club offered to reduce it by two thirds but no we wont pay it at all tell you what we'll threaten liquidation cunts and yes you for all your posturing still support these cunts:jerkit:

It did yes, seems like he was a good manager. He signed about 7 players if I recall. 3 had an immediate impact the other 4 were bad signings.
I have no idea how it would have panned out with AT. People can guess but no one actually knows.

Then attend those meetings and say you can't discuss the plans!!!!!

I think they may have been arranged at a time when it was thought that administration would go quicker that it actually did.
The delay in progress turned out to be effectively gagging TF!

It took Robins time to turn around the pathetic losing mentality that was rife in the squad. We would've got relegated with that muppet still in charge.

Getting involved in the first place probably the worst decision. I will always feel grateful that they rescued us back in the day.
It just doesn't seem to have worked out, or like it is going anywhere positive.

The beginning of the end for SISU was the sale of Dann, Fox, Westwood et al. Failure to secure King on a deal (albeit controversial). If we had kept these players at pivotal moments with a little bit of forward thinking we may have reached the playoffs or even challenged the season after.

At the time the blame for these decisions IMO lies with Onye Igwe and ultimately Joy Seppala for change of direction (buying up and coming players for a promotion push to selling any asset we can get a decent fee for) Although Ranson was here for some of those decisions he soon left after the decisions were taken above his head.

To say no one knows is a weak argument. No one knows if Coleman had stayed we would not now be premier league champions.

However it was not 3 games but well over 60 and most of those were poor.

Sisu haven't no football experience hadn't a clue. Allowing the appointment of Coleman, a manager who achieved nothing was poor and Coleman bought Kean and thorn with him.

Duliue was so out of his depth at Southampton they at one point were trying to get Rupert Lowe back. So to recruit him was nonsense

Thorn was the worst though but fans backed him so he had it easy and with no pressure on him there was no need to replace him. We must have been the only set of fans debating who was the best scout ever. Looking at the latest shamboloc recruits another myth has gone.

Thorn will not get another job in management. He was alst like that con artist who manage to dupe Southampton in letting him play in a game. Problem is we let the deception carry on and we let go for far top long. All this emotion directed at not going to games should have been directed at the real issue two seasons ago.

Thing is I don't think that the SISU were interested in running a football club, that was not and has never been their goal IMO

Again I come back to my question I don't think you have answered yet.
When you say it was obvious not to employ Ken. Do you think such mismanagement could lead SISU to been vulnerable to facing legal action from their main investor (s)
