Former Scotland youth defender Stuart Urquhart is facing an uncertain future having been diagnosed with a heart problem after leaving Dunfermline.

The 20-year-old, who had spells with Rangers and Coventry City, had felt short of breath near the end of the season with the League One Pars.

"The best would be that it's just an illness I have picked up and hopefully I get a quick recovery," he said.

"The worst case is that I'll maybe be a few years out of football."

Best of luck to him. Hopefully its just his optimistic outcome and it's just an illness he's picked up and he'll make a quick recovery.

Stuart get well soon. Just focus on your health. Then deal with the football side later.

I wonder if this has hampered him and why we got rid.

Hope he gets sorted, hopefully he will take it easy and not try and rush into the game and collapse or something

Hope he gets well soon, terrible to have when you're just starting out, hope he's sorted out if he is out for a few years.
