The Sky blues will sign strikers Craig Davies and Jake Cassidy. The latter being on loan for 6 months.Davies will cost the club £200,000.

Craig Davies is a better/more established player than when Leon Clarke joined us

I'd be very happy with Davies if true but had a look at that Twitter account and seems way off on a few names so take it with a pinch of salt. Think he's quite similar to Clarke, would be good in this league if a regular starter and Pressley can get the best from him.

From a brief internet of search of 'league one transfer rumours', Tom Eaves' name pops up again, supposidly done and dusted and ready to be announced tomorrow. The sources seem unreliable, but considering his name was banded about earlier in the year there may be some legs to it.

This 'CoventryITK' twitter account was saying that the deal for Eaves was done last week so I'm not too sure about that one either. He's another big strong player who, if Pressley gets the best out of, would be a good player but we still we need a quick player alongside him.

They are not good enough to replace Wilson and Clarke. If there is a real intent then you need to buy players who score goals for fun either in this league or the league below.

But we didn't buy either.

Just my opinion, but, we need to strengthen the back four first. Two prolific strikers and high scoring M/F last season, scoring nearly 60 goals between them and we STILL nearly lost our L1 status. Anyone thought about asking "Edje" to come back, I believe he is still teamless. C'mon SP, swallow your pride, Edje is so much better than anything in our defense atm.

Are you serious? Jesus, some Footy fans haven't a clue. Edgewelly was binned off for a reason.

If you think we didn't pay to take McGoldrick on loan, I've got a bridge to sell you.

Similarly Leon Clarke and a signing on fee.

Much like women and sex, it may seem free but we all end up paying in one way or another.

One season ago we didn't rate either. Wilson was nearly got rid of because he was constantly injured, and Clarke was a journeyman that no one rated. SP made both into goal getters as he will with who ever comes in.

Agree, there's always some sort of fee for most loan players, signing on fees for freebies. but you know what I mean though, people bemoaning the lack of 'transfer' fee.

Something to do with the site posted it twice. Short memory eh Grenduffy? Don't you remember slamming the likes of Barnsley 4-1 three seasons running now we're at the point of taking in their cast offs. Mr "Own goals" Wood came from Sheff Weds, if I remember correctly he got slammed by CCFC fans on a regular basis. As for Edje being rubbish, He's the "Only piece of rubbish" that ever had Marlon King in his arse pocket all through a game. His style of play is Alien to the CCFC back four, He plays Football.

Sadly not. He's trying to rival NLHWC for the poster on a football forum who knows the least about football.

I agree with you KOK, Nathan Delfounseo has talent, unfortunately he had much in the way of match practice at Villa, but did manage to look half decent at times for us, as a backup I am not sure why it couldn't hurt to bring him in, especially with Wilson departing to Bournemouth.

Surely he was on a fair bit at Villa? Would have to take a big wage cut to join us.

If he's been released, he'll be on job seekers allowance, which even we can manage to top (just) :sarcasm:

No thanks, wouldn't want him here. He had his chance and didn't produce. He has talent but lacks the right mentality. I remember Pressley saying he had had a heart to heart with him when he first joined but didn't really produced which is why Pressley said he wouldn't be speaking to his agent. We need the right characters at the club.

That ITK guy has gone a bit mental. Clearly bull. If you link us to everyone then eventually someone will join.

He's linked us with:

Tyrone Mears
Joe Lolley
Simon Gillett
Marvin Elliot

and has said wigan have bid for Fleck and we've had a bid accepted for Scott Hogan all in the last 50 minutes.

Although I agree with pretty much all of that Stupot we need strikers in the building and currently bar a very optimistic Twitter Account there is nothing on any striker joining us, that means keeping all options open, again I agree with you and should another player with the right attitude and desire appear to Pressley then that would be fantastic however at this moment in time I wouldn't rule anyone out.

Lets be honest we are in the shite with a capital S. This season we will have a team no one will recognise playing in a stadium hardly anyone will go to and playing a system which started well last year but faded alarmingly towards the end with no back up plan. I fear the worst.

I'm not just a "Footy Fan" as you call it. I played for a living, Edjewelly as you call him could do something the present and previous back four COULDN'T do....Play Football. I'm not saying he is the "Be all and end all" but the lad is far superior to the present mob. PS...33 apps in the season he was here doesn't tell me he was useless. Or would you say that you prefer Webster or Seabourne. I've seen milk turn quicker than both of those two..........Jesus! some footy fans haven't got a jar of glue!
