I've read/heard/seen we have been linked with a couple of strikers who for me don't look like they are proven at this level or have played 3 games in the last 2 seasons or something ridiculous, realisticaly who would do a great job for us , get a lot of goals and that we can afford? Stuart Beavon? unless he has been signed up by another club.

Stuart beavons the one for me! Even though ive got a feeling that thorn and waggie will pull some gem, none of us has heard off out the bag!

Young and hungry for goals. I would take that over an 'established' or 'proven' player any day of the week

Loaning attacking players is a better idea than defenders. They want to prove to their club with goals, defenders however, are rated differently.

Beavon has got 1 goal in 4 for wycombe and is nearly 28 and is another diddyman at %ft 7. Hardly prolific, small and unlikely to generate a significant transfer fee if ever sold on - and for that reson I am out.

The squad rebuilding IMO has been good but strikers cost a premium, AT will find it a lot harder to obtain a top drawer signing who is a striker.

Agreed , seems like they have been looking abroad a lot so maybe we'll get another continental player in

Better off asking Thorn or it's just guess work really.

I trust that Thorn knows we are in dire need of a striker (or two preferably).

I hope he gets 2 in and at last put the theory that O'D will be anything other than a option for the bench more than the first 11.
