Bit odd, from the Middlesbrough Gazette earlier;

"Hines, meanwhile, is on the verge of penning a two-year deal with Birmingham City, subject to a medical.

The 26-year-old played in Saturday's 1-0 loss to Reading, his fifth start of the season."

Frank Nouble is the other.

Andy Turner ‏@AndyTurnerccfc now
I understand #skyblues are also poised to announce 22-year-old, 6ft 3 tall Ipswich striker Frank Nouble is joining on loan #pusb

Frank Nouble is the other player according to Andy Turner

6 foot 3 and powerful, has a pretty poor goalscoring record.

Sky Blues snap up striker Frank Nouble on loan deal from Ipswich Town on transfer deadline day
Coventry City have completed the loan signing of striker Frank Nouble from Championship side Ipswich Town subject to Football League and FA approval.

The 22-year-old joins the Sky Blues up to and including January 4th, 2015 after completing the move on deadline day of the summer transfer window.

Nouble, who has represented England at Under 17 and Under 19 level, started his career at Chelsea where he worked his way through the youth ranks before rejecting a professional deal in favour of a long-term deal at West Ham United in 2009.

The Lewisham-born striker spent three years at Upton Park where he made ten first team appearances amongst a series of loan moves before being signed by Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer of 2012 and then Ipswich Town in January 2013.

Sky Blues boss Steven Pressley said he was delighted to be able to further bolster his attacking options with Nouble, a player he described as young and hungry to make a name for himself.

"What you get with Frank is a quick, mobile, powerful striker and that is exactly what we are looking for," Pressley said.

"I spoke to Frank about what he wants out of a move to Coventry City and his ambition certainly aligns with my expectations and I'm looking forward to seeing the positive impact I believe his addition will bring.

"I'm certainly excited to see what he is capable of and now we find ourselves in a situation where we have a number of strikers all eager to claim a starting place in front of more than 20,000 City supporters at the Ricoh Arena on Friday."

Not a fan of Nouble at all. Honestly don't think he's good enough. Was hoping it would be Revell or Smith

Bit concerned with how loan-heavy the squad is but beggars can't be choosers. As long as they do the business while they're here, unlike most of last season's loan cohort.

I don't judge a player by scoring records but for a striker 4 in 56 is woeful.

He's awful. I honestly thought he'd gone on loan to some shit league 2 team a few weeks ago. I just hope this is a loan term solution until someone better comes along in Jan because signing someone of this calibre is not going to get the job done i'm afraid.

Maybe league 1 is his level though?

It is another 2 cheap short term loans. Shame. Thing is if they do shit we just send them back and they have been no benefit and if they are good then come January they will go to a bigger club. Catch 22.

Yeah, not keen on half the squad sodding off in January.

Suppose the thinking goes if you're challenging for promotion then you can use the wage budget again in January, and if not just give the kids some experience? (trying to see it posiively, honest!)

How many times you seen him play, he may or may not be great but he adds another dimension to our attack with power, strength and height. Something we were lacking.

People moan about loans but only two of them are likely to start, Allsop and Hines.
