Have heard a few fans talking about a shortage of strikers, on the basis that Juke may well be off in January, but having a look it doesn't seem all the bad:

Platt - shorter term injury, back later this month
Cody - ditto
ROD - ditto
Jeffers - did OK against West Ham
McSheffrey - has looked sharp recently

Not bad for a team who often play one up front, and with Daniels and Wilson in reserve!

Just realised I also left out Freddie, who can be lethal when fit and and on form.

Platt has played well in parts and can be an especially effective impact player, also he can be a decent foil for another striker as he can discomfit defences with his size.

Cody hasn't had much of a chance, and needs a run of games.

ROD really could be the answer to our problems, all we need to do is work out how to use him in the right way

Only in part...although we haven't got the highest quality players we do have 6-7 other strikers in the squad apart from Juke - throw in possible replacements in January or the loan window and we're not talking about a crisis surely!

Best long term striker prospect in our academy?

Clarke-Harris?
Courtney Richards?
Billy Daniels?

I have not seen any of them play, although have seen a couple of cracking strikes from Clarke-Harris on youtube. Billy Daniels has scored a fair few and didn't we get Richards from Arsenal, whom Rioch rates highly?
