Platt career - 101 goals in 531 games as a striker, less than one goal in 5 games

Juke career - 35 goals in 148 games as a striker, less than one goal in every 4 games

McSheffrey career - 81 goals in 324 as a winger. Exactly one goal in every 4 games.

O'Donovan carer - 42 goals in 146 games as a striker, approx one in every 3.5 games

Eastwood career - 107 goals in 311 as a striker, a goal in less than every 3 games.

McDonald career - 93 goals in 171 as a striker, a goal in less than every 2 games

Not saving anything with these, just spent 5 mins doing them, so thought I would post it !

So good he posted them twice

Therefore I'll repeat my response on here too

Any chance you can replicate those stats for goals and appearances in the top two divisions of English football? I know you're only quoting stats btw but difficult to compare someone like Platt with FE who despite being a striker plays a completely different role for the team.

Unfortunately it doesn't take things like division into account.

think you will find it does Sterling

For Platt for example to get the average, I had to divide 531 by 101, so I think you will find that takes into account division

Sheff played and scored a lot upfront when he started his career and under macca and black, it was Adams that played him outwide, when he had scowcroft on the other wing and John and dele upfront.

McDonalds stats are extremely impressive. Let's just hope he can finally get a proper run in the team fully fit and start banging them in.

Eastwood has scored 20 goals in 141 games for Wolves and Coventry combined. Say no more.

Disagree I'm afraid. He has a lot to prove. One of the biggest disappointments for a while. Unfit, poor attitude not a good start, goals aren't bigger but goalkeepers and defenders a lot sharper. Eastwood is a testimony to that.

no the goals aren't bigger in non-league, but the standard of defending and goalkeeping is a lot poorer. A lot of players who have been prolific at non league never make the grade in league football.
