From my mate in Bedworth:

I phoned the street light number. Off in Bedworth, Nuneaton, Coventry & Kersley. Major fault and apparently they might have to fix "one by one".

Saw a meteor for the first time in my life. about 9 pm Bedworth area. Thanks to the lights being off. I thought it was the new lights off initiative.

Like the idea although the mrs pointed out that she found it difficult jogging in the dark. I told her to get a torch.

Also the people most likely to moan are tucked up watching Coronation Street.

Cars driving slower on the estates is a major plus in my opinion.

I used to think similar to this. Had one for years right outside our house shining right through my bedroom window. Well annoying.

Since the council upgraded the lights (although these Eco ones are shite compared to the old ones) the locations of the lights changed and the one outside ours got moved!

Now its too dark outside ours and i want it back.......

Some of our rates go on steet lighting,so will we get a rebate because they are not on as much,like f**k

Or when crime goes up? My street is pitch black without them so much easier to burgle or nick from cars!
