Change the chant to this:

Oooooh baby do you know what's worth, Carl Rushworth is the best on Earth. Our number 19 is all we need, he'll take city to the premier league

Couldn't think of anything better for the number 19. Any suggestions?

Starting to see why we bid £5.5m for him in the summer! We definitely should've conceded more goals this season and Rushworth has been a big reason for that.

It became apparent after Dovin found his feet playing really well then getting injured last season, you won't get promoted out of this league just getting by with an average keeper.
Rushworth is class!
Yes. Lampard has called a couple of journalists out a bit where they've implied that somehow a win via a good goalkeeper performance isn't the sign of a successful team.

Which successful teams do not have a relative top class goalkeeper in reality?

He had his critics for some errors of judgment yesterday, but some of his saves were as good as I've seen from a City keeper and definitely not ones made by a Wilson or a Collins.

Lampard's most successful team as a player was under Mourinho when they went around 1,000 minutes without conceding. When you got past Gallas, Terry, Carvalho and Ferreria - you had to be Cech in goal.

All top teams need good goalkeepers because the opposition will fashion chances no matter how flawless the tactics.

And then at full time if you got past Cech you had to worry about Terry getting through to your missus

A lot of the early comments were harsh, especially v Oxford where it's easy to criticise a wall being in the 'wrong' place after a team scores from it.

As Wayne Bridge found out... 😂

Look, we fans are as fickle as f—-

A few good games and a player is an all time great, a few bad games then we call them a taxi.

Rushworth had a few dodgy moments in the first few games but has made some cracking saves in the last half-dozen or so.

What has notably improved is his awareness in terms of releasing the ball. Long kicks to create chances and quick, decent bowling out to create breaks. Early on he used to let the opposition attackers regroup to a high press by holding the ball too long, now he’s finding MVE etc to barrel down the wings.

Best since Westwood? Too early to tell. Marosi had a great patch, Moore too, Wilson a golden glove, Joe Murphy was solid post Westwood for a while.

A few games ago after a few Rushworth blunders I would have said that Wilson needed to come back in (I like his gamesmanship (shithousery) and ability to release quickly and spot the break), however, Rushworth has proven me wrong and is doing a great job.
