If we get reid in, will this mean him moving to the left of the defenders?

I think currently yes not too many options at the moment though expect a few more bodies to come in.
Assuming we play 3-4-3 at the moment have Stokes, Willis and Ricketts as first choice 3 at back.

Hopefully we will get a few more bodies in as not sure the academy centre backs are really quite up
to it yet though which means very short of cover.

Kyel Reid is not a left back.

I guess Reid would play almost like where Haynes has been playing pre season; more of a wing back, so yes a back 3 rather than LB / RB is most likely based on what I've seen pre season

Reid will play in one of the front three positions, if he joins. I hope he doesn't, never rated him. His end product is very very poor.

Reid's a winger isn't he? Not a left back or wingback? Mowbray is too cautious to play an out and out winger at wingback, i imagine he'll play in tje front 3 like jones. Seems an odf decison to look at wingers when you're not playing in that type of system.

I thought he could play wing back? I guess if he is in the front 3 we will still need wing backs for both sides!

Mowbray has said Reid is training to see if he can adapt to our system, so won't be used as an out and out winger it seems if he joins.

Regardless of where Reid would play, I wouldn't complain if Stokes moved to CB, thought he did well when called upon there.

never really sure why we look to sign players to fit into our system as opposed to players who can actually play in those positions

Always expected him to play in the left of a back three.
More naturally he position.
He is a better CB than a marauding full back who can't maraude
