Sorry, reply to torch.Got to keep the billionaires in their place whilst we get micro herded this way and that, and apps that are conducive for the same!
Sorry for the rant.
Interestingly with our new set up of me as the wife's personal assistant, we haven't got an email address set up for the assistant to get a digital ticket. Might be a fun time next weekend
At the moment he’s just slobbering all over himself so all set for a day in Stoke. At £4 quid a kid time to get junior some easy points.
Same here really. My son doesn't have a google wallet or anything, but I have a couple of Gmail accounts, I will just have to send it to the other account and do a quick bit of swapping wallets on the day. Can't see the issue in sending more than one ticket to the one account. Gigs work that way without any issue.Interestingly with our new set up of me as the wife's personal assistant, we haven't got an email address set up for the assistant to get a digital ticket. In my network there’s definitely a few who’s buying a ticket and deciding on going closer to the day.3394 sold.
1225 actually going!
Man UTD away next, big dangle Infront of usHopefully, this isn’t going to be a “ points scoop “ game & sit at home job .
Let this be another chance to really give the team a big backing , with the lads doing so well & another great chance of a good FA cup run ( even though we don’t really want one ) but the luck of the draw could be with us ….. who knows , to cap off a fantastic season ?
If tickets are all digital it wouldn’t be too difficult for club to obtain the data off Stoke to see who scanned in at the turnstile. In my network there’s definitely a few who’s buying a ticket and deciding on going closer to the day.
The points to £ ratio is bang on but I’ll be there to watch two reserve side bang out a boring 0-0 or 1-1.
Hopefully, this isn’t going to be a “ points scoop “ game & sit at home job .
We are looking at something like that? Don't see how you'd enforce it without the help of all the other clubs in the league. If tickets are all digital it wouldn’t be too difficult for club to obtain the data off Stoke to see who scanned in at the turnstile.
It’s what they do at England games before awarding caps.
pretty sure next season they’re looking at something like that anyway to discourage just buying for the points.
It requires admin to police it and the allocation for this game is so large, no one is really missing out. There are higher priority items for the ticket office to sort out.If tickets are all digital it wouldn’t be too difficult for club to obtain the data off Stoke to see who scanned in at the turnstile.

I don’t think you can at every ground, but I’m sure I’ve heard someone mention it recently. We are looking at something like that? Don't see how you'd enforce it without the help of all the other clubs in the league.
Enforcement would be nigh impossible too, what happens if for whatever reason, the turnstile data is incorrect? We are looking at something like that? Don't see how you'd enforce it without the help of all the other clubs in the league.
I agree with all those points, it gets brought up in fans forums a lot.It requires admin to police it and the allocation for this game is so large, no one is really missing out. There are higher priority items for the ticket office to sort out.
Generally speaking, the points system serves it purpose and even if there are instances of people buying tickets and either not going or selling them on.
People will always find ways to go around it. I know people who will sell their tickets for England home games and if they get called to present their ID, they go to present ID and go home without going the match.
I guarantee it won't be for long, and it's a symptom of technological infestation of every aspect of your life, concentrating everything back to the USA and the billionaires, that's kinda why all countries are desperate for growth, any way this is not the thread.Enforcement would be nigh impossible too, what happens if for whatever reason, the turnstile data is incorrect?
Speaking from personal experience, I’ve had to contact the ETSC to correct my points and on one instance, they insisted CCTV confirmed I weren’t there and then they realised I was there and corrected it.
This isn’t a can of worms the club would want to open for home matches, let alone away games. It’s hideously complex and requires 19-23 other clubs providing accurate data.
Our points system is easy to administer and works as intended despite any outliers.
