Think Kitching played really well today, as did Thomas.
Think Wright and BTA were both anonymous for the majority of the game.
Simms came on and looked hungry again in the short cameo.
DaSilva was MOM for me

Dasilva had a massive defensive game today. Not so much going forward but I'll take the performance anyhow. He's just gotten better and better as the season goes on.

I honestly think having Simms on created that goal of the season.

Fullbacks MotM
EMC what a goal but decisions and final ball had been poor until then.
Hoping we get the Haji Wright back that never came back last break.

Thought Bobby & Liam were very good today as was JDS. Stoke didn't offer much from an attacking perspective but these games have to be won. Tremendous goal to win it.Whst a time to be a Sky Blues fan. PUSB
Missed out MVE . Great today

Both fullbacks were excellent, great strike from EMC, and good to see Simms actually use his strength.
I thought it was a hard fought professional performance rather than an exciting performance. Stoke have the tightest defence in the championship, so it was always going to be a tough game, but that's a fantastic win to take into the international break.

Back four all deserve at least 8s. Clean sheet away from home, against second in the league who’ve scored 8 in two games. BBC says it they had 8 shots, 0 shots on target. Thats an immense performance

Couldn't give a monkey's toss...

The match was a real arm wrestle... a moment of magic... and just a massive win.

And thanks to the person who recommended the rugby club a while back... having a pint whilst the traffic calms

I remember the consensus on here that Thomas and Kitching weren't good enough, the usual clueless suspects

They are the best defensive partnership we've had in years and still getting better . Each of them bring a different dynamic to the partnership as well , we are very lucky to have them

I've always backed Thomas, but I'll admit to having doubts about Kitching up until recently.

He's taken his game to a different level this season, though, and has found a discipline that was lacking before. He's cut out the silly challenges around the area and just seems calmer and more in control. He's one of a number that have stepped up.

... do you really think they are good enough for the next level, really? Particularly Thomas.

I think the implication was that people were saying they weren't good enough for a top-end Championship team.

We can worry about the Prem if or when we get there.

I know it's different as it was a three but the League one winning combination of Hyam, McFadz and Rose were class.

Rose never really convinced me , Hyam continues to be a decent Championship defender and Fadz was a legend

Irrelevant really, both were written off at this level. No reason why they don't keep improving, they're young players for their position.

Robins (Pre falling out with Rose and getting him out of both Cov and Stoke) stated that Rose was the best defender we had at the club at the time.

I'd also say that McFadz McNally and Doyle were class but I agree that in a two Kitch and Bobby are about the best we have had for ages

I think he gets a lot of unwarranted criticism tbh. He’s a really solid defender with a brilliant long ball on him and the only nasty bastard we have. I may be biased having been a CH myself (at a shit level) but I’m a real fan

We're 5 clear... do the point scoring when the heat is on later on in the season.
