We just have to play the players that started the second half yesterday. Try and run riot early doors then lock up after 60 when we are 2 or 3 nil up

Think this is a difficult game as assume they’ll try and spring a counter on us which we can be vulnerable on with our high line.

However likewise feel if we play at our best we could blitz them with how dangerous our attack can be

2-2

4-2-4 at Stoke? Can't see Frank playing that system away from home again.

I've been talking to my Stoke supporting mate, and he says that he'd be very happy with a draw. His point was that they've been a bit lucky so far, they've been giving up chances but opponents haven't been taking advantage. (To be honest, I've felt the same about us more than once!)

He thinks we're a lot more clinical and should win.

He did say that he's very happy with Robins, and in true football fan fashion, he's delighted that they're 18 points above the relegation zone!

I know that outlook only too well; I'm very used to calculating exactly what it will take to stay ahead of the teams just below us, I'm just not used to seeing no one above us. It feels... weird. I like it.

They play a very similar formation to us.. incredible in the transition so will be happy for us to have the ball

Their fans do seem a little over confident after 2 wins against a half dead Bristol City and a wasteful Oxford

I’d probably accept a draw right now but if we could pull off a win it’d put us in a fantastic position going into the season’s tenth international break.

When have we been in such a great position before , with goals galore coming from all over the team ?
Whoever we play , forget their results & let them ….. this time Stoke , worry about trying to stop the Skyblue juggernaut !
We are returning to normal service again , so let’s enjoy another big away win .

As mentioned they have so much pace and look to break quickly in transition, something we can be vulnerable with (Watford game a prime example) would definitely take a point there.

Rushworth
Thomas Woofenden Kitching
MVE Torp Grimes Dasilva
Sakamoto Wright EMC

Dropping the leagues top scorer is crazy I know but I think the shape just looks better with EMC on the left

Just think they’ll be more worried about not losing, we only know how to play one way, just score more than you

I’m never happy with a draw but if there really is such a thing as a “good” draw this would be it.
2-1 win

Why such negativity about this game?? don't you think they will be as worried about us, seeing how we've blown some teams away and fought back against others.

This is old pessimistic CCFC thinking ffs, we're in the new era now and should be more confident about this teams ability.
A third of the way through, we're 4 points clear, with a disgusting +goal difference, we are the real deal this year.

I haven’t been overly impressed with him this year. Lot’s of wrong position decisions especially regarding offside line. When he’s hot he’s hot, but he has to make that happen.
Edit: I see you were talking about BTA. I was thinking Wright.

I know we are free scoring at the minute but I would like to get back to keeping clean sheets, the amount of chances we are letting opposition teams get against us is a slight worry which I guess to some extent is because we can be light in midfield, so keep a clean sheet and score 3 we should be fine and cement our place at the top of the Championship and champions in waiting

This one worries me. They are second because they are a good team, they have home advantage and have started scoring just as we have stopped keeping clean sheets.

I’d definitely be content with a draw but take our chances and I could see us winning this something like 3-2. We need Haji to have his scoring boots back on for this one.

I don't like making predictions for my own team as it has backfired many times before! Just go there and put in a strong performance once again, lads

We’re top. We’re scoring goals. Let’s not worry about them - just go and impose our game.

Can’t really see them setting up for the point/to not lose. They’d want to close the gap, surely?

They obviously want to close it but that goes without saying. They won't alter their tactics at this stage in the season all or nothing style, they'll prepare for the individual game.

I think we'll win this one 1-5. Robins 'keep it tight until half time and only try and win football matches in the 2nd half' will come undone by conceding in the first 10 minutes, and then it will be an avalanche when they can't sit in and try to counter attack anymore.

Robins will set up like for like , as he is no master tactician.
Opposition master tactics , just as Blackburn & Sheffield tried to, is to nullify Grimes , but hopefully, as shown in both of those games , we came out successful & having Torp back will add to our options…..
City to go 7 points clear …… 0 - 2
