The free scoring Stoke is a very small sample size. The team generally keeps things tight, lots of 1s and 0s. I'd think we'll go for the team that started the second half yesterday although i don't think Frank really knows what to do in the 10 with Rudoni out. If we're on the front foot (which we often are) it works front loading the team, but for a battle like this the missing midfielder could be a problem. They rested half the team last night and still won 3-0. I would take a point.
Definitely, before the last 2 games they had 9 games in a row where they either scored 0 or 1 goals. The free scoring Stoke is a very small sample size. Draws more than good enough if we win the home games for me, but i think if we win 1 it'll be Boro. I can just see them falling off a bit.In isolation Id take draws at Stoke, Boro and Ipswich. But given they all come in the same month we really could do with winning at least 1.
Agree. What I do think, having had a look at most teams, is that there are a lot of teams with similar ability, all capable of taking points off each other (see last night's results with Ipswich, MBoro etc). Derby, Blackburn, Watford, Birmingham and Wrexham all picking up form suits us imo, as they are likely to take points off contenders and each other. The result of this is that I suspect the total for autos is going to be quite a bit lower than normal, and provided we win our upcoming home games, then losing a couple of the away games will not be calamitous (obviously don't want to). Really could do with getting Rudoni back (and up to speed) asap. I also want us to get to the transfer window in the top 2. If we can do that, I really fancy us.In isolation Id take draws at Stoke, Boro and Ipswich. But given they all come in the same month we really could do with winning at least 1.
Draw away, win at home. Wins at PNE count double though. The away fixtures leading up to the Jan window do look pretty fucking grim tbf. If we're still top 2 after that we're laughing.
Go mental and play 5-1-4 with Grimes as the midfield maestroI’d go to a back 5 but no idea who you drop from Sakamoto wright BTA and EMC
